Undying affection?
Is that what they call supporting a Candidate now, or is that back handed comment only meant for Trump Supporters?
The Clutching Pearl Brigade marches on.
His butler doesn't seem to think so.
The hapless servitude that characterizes the establishment is the third split in the divide. If you go too far on principle, you end up like Ted Cruz, delivering fiery speech after fiery speech and achieve nothing; go too far on compromise and you end up an establishment squish.
But we, the Realists, are in the middle. I know the left has characterized “moderate” as a code word for “socialist,” but those of us in the Trump camp know where the line lies.
We’re not the radicals here. If we are, we’re radically sensible because we know that to go the distance in this election, and ultimately accomplish what we want, we need to bring in the best candidate who can involve the Reagan Democrats and make deals, and that candidate is none other than Donald Trump.
At the Trump rally in Cleveland earlier today, I was amazed at how many people like me were there - people who had been burned out or disaffected by Washington. They and I agree on the big picture: secure our borders, fight back against globalism, and do our damndest to repeal the worst of what Obongo has done in the past eight years...
...which could have been four years had not Willard Romney thrown the election.
That’s just dumb.
I’m ‘We the People’ and I want him like a stone in my shoe.
Leader
“He’s only one who even mentions sealing the stinkin border.”
********
And that lie is more realistic than all his other lies? Just hang in there for that bridge he wants to sell you.
There are massive numbers of Republicans pledging not to vote for him... ........................ IMO, this is BS, GOPe, don’t want to hear from the people, all they are worried about is the cash flow into their pockets. They are worried. Seems like the GOPe, the Media, and the Democrats don’t really care about the majority of the people. Think about it, who owns the Media, most are corporate controlled. Who are the people who are invested in the corporate empire, how many politicians are on the off record payrolls? Its all about payola, and we have the best politicians money can buy and corrupt. Trump to them is the farmer with the axe going after their golden goose.
No he won’t.
He’ll say “I don’t know anyone who voted for him”.
I love the people trying to understand the Trump thing. It's simple. It isn't Obama. If it was we could run the elephant. It is the betrayal of GOP politicians that say one thing to get elected and then do the opposite every time. Obamacare, the Iran Deal, dreamer deferrals, the last budget, all of which have either been supported, or tacitly accepted by the GOP. The only one of the politicians in the race that has even come close to opposing any more of this has been Cruz, and even he is a tweener. The GOP needs to take a good hard look in the mirror.
I don't really like Trump, but I will be voting for him in November because I can't stand the thought of Hillary as president.
Having a country surviving sounds to me like a prerequisite for having a constitution to care about.
I wouldn’t want to be the sad sack who says “Oh we saved the constitution, but the country was lost.”
I bet he not only draws a bunch of people who don’t vote, but kills it with the 10% of voters who are the supposed swing voters. Supposedly they decide elections, and all campaign money is spent on them, as they are swayable. Being on reality TV and pro wrestling is actually going to be a benefit, it’s like he has been campaigning for years and years for the folks who watch this nonsense.
Freegards
>Most of all, I don’t understand ...
I agree that you don’t and most likely can’t comprehend reality.
At this point in 1980 Reagan was down to Carter 29% in the polls.
I think you can consider this to be a pocketbook election.
Unlike the Reagan v. Carter election there’s no gas lines and rationing. There’s no demon bunnies, no liver pills.
We do have hostages in the Middle East, in general a basketcase of a region that a lot of pols would love to make us prosecute a war over ($$$).
You have record numbers of 50+ year old men dying despair deaths due to a lack of economic opportunity.
The Millennials feel like they are stepping into the thunderdome, basically thralls thanks to debt.
There’s plenty of other issues, but this will come down to pocketbook issues. The border thing also hits security, as do overstays on the visas, but both of these issues double as economic issues.
“However, I genuinely don’t understand why so many people think a man who is unpredictable, thin-skinned, mean spirted, vindictive and who often blurts out stupid things is the sort of person who is suited to be President of the United States.”
Because the whole of his life doesn’t agree with your assessment, and also we have already experienced how the wonderful people you endorse work out as president. Enough lies. Enough Bullshit. Enough political correctness.
Clap...clap...clap....clap....clap....
Excellent article!
It is indeed out time to choose, and that’s why I will never allow my vote, my time and effort, or my money to assist in electing another statist to power. Trump, in addition to being a statist, is an ignorant jackass who revels in his ignorance and wears it like a royal robe. I have literally zero faith that Trump has the interest, desire, will or ability to arrest our slide into greater and greater socialism.
Sure, the border is important, but only to prevent the loss of our Constitution to a bunch of ignoramuses. The answer just can’t be to preemptively elect our own ignoramus and expect any kind of positive result. If we lose the Constitution, who gives a shite about the border?
John, if his character is at the bottom of the barrel, he wouldn’t have such great, hardworking, thoughtful kids.
Whatever you think of Trump, he has a terrific family. And people who’ve met him, like him.
Like Ben Carson and Phyllis Schafly.
Now Trump perhaps had the best line tonight on why the Bern is getting votes: “they look for a free lunch.”
Which is true. As for his high negatives a lot of people didn’t like George Patton. But Americans love a winner.
The law is already in place for it, Jack. Nobody’s shown the will to want to push for it.
Until now. And everybody’s afraid. Including you, who sound like you have a dog in this fight. An anti-American dog.
