Pro-Life is my No. 1 issue - without a respect for life, nothing else matters.

I think Kasich, Rubio & Cruz would have wavered if it was a convenient time.

It was convenient for them in the era they emerged in Republican politics to be pro life with very little political risk.

How tough is it for them to say they will ban a lot of abortions but never get anywhere near Obama’s desk.
None of their votes on the issue changed the matter.

None of these guys have ever had to take a hard vote on it where 50 or 60 votes mattered; or with Kasich in the house or as governor.

It is all hypothetical votes.

In another era, maybe if Rubio was buttboy to a Democrat big win in Florida he would more like a Luis Gutierrez member of congress. If Rubio & Cruz were Bush boys in the 2000’s I don’t see how amnesty or trade is the only issue they could wimp out on.

I think Trump is as pro-life as the others.

Trump loves babies and babies love Trump.

The euphoria over Trump is very concerning - you’ve done a great job articulating all of the reasons why we should be concerned and why we should be promoting all of the stark differences between Trump and true conservatives.

I thank you, Morgana, for your steady stream of posts for the sanctity of life. I am a
prolife leader in my community. Fr. Pavone has said that as long as we vote for the most
prolife candidate who has a chance of winning, we are voting prolife. I have used this
calculus. In this election, I support Trump because:

1) he has stated that he will defund PP if it continues to do abortions, that he has changed
to become prolife, and that Roe V Wade was a faulty decision - all making him more
acceptable than Clinton/Sanders

2) neither Rubio nor Kasich has a chance so I won't vote for them

3) Cruz, although espousing a strong prolife stance, in my estimation is not trustworthy,
and so I cannot take him at his word for a number of reasons

4) Only Trump stands against the globalist trade deals (and globalism generally), and so
will preserve our sovereignty as opposed to eroding it to international entities that will be
hostile to prolife

5) Trump is the only candidate so far to actually name two candidates for the Supreme
Court, both of whom are strongly prolife

Does this make sense to you?

I am pro-life and I’m voting for Trump.

Republicans ever since Roe vs. Wade claim to be pro-life and we still have abortions and use taxpayers money to pay for them. Jeb Bush was governor when the state of Florida killed Terri Schiavo. Bush was President. It was the first time a state ordered the killing of an innocent disabled woman. The judge ordered food and water to be withheld, not just the feeding tube removed. The tube had been placed for convenience. The judge ordered that no one was allowed to give her drink or water by mouth.

The President by himself does not make law. If you want to pass laws against abortion, then look to Congress or the state.

I believe Trump that he is pro-life now and will look for conservative judges to appoint to the Supreme Court. I’ve known people who have changed their views on abortion later in life.

In the interview with Tim Russert, he said he was pro-choice, but found abortions abhorrent. He now says he’s pro-life. I trust him a lot more than Cruz.

I don’t need Trump to tell me Cruz is a liar. I had already come to that conclusion way before Trump said it.

Clinton or the GOP candidate will win.

IF you do not vote, you are standign ideal and allowing the election Hilary Clinton. Clinton is a big proponent of abortion and will put in places polices that increase the number of abortions.

By not voting you are morally accountable for increasing the number of abortions in this country.

It is not principal working here, it perpetual that your candidate of choice is not winning the nomination.
