Navy Petty Officer Lentoyi White, 26, feared shed be dismissed from the service after twice failing the Navys body composition assessment (BCA), which measures body fat percentage. But in January, the Navy loosened its body fat restrictions for both men and women, giving White and thousands of other sailors another chance to stay in the Navy.
I am very grateful for a second chance with this new policy, said White, a single mother with a 5-year-old daughter. White has gone from 212 pounds to 188 and is optimistic shell pass this spring under the new standards.
Under the Navys previous standards, sailors had three chances to pass the BCA before being considered for dismissal. But now, the 2,400 sailors who failed all three will get another shot to pass the BCA under the new standards this spring.

Gen. Dempsey: If Women Cant Meet Military Standard, Pentagon Will Ask Does It Really Have to Be That High? http://cnsnews.com/news/article/gen-dempsey-if-women-can-t-meet-military-standard-pentagon-will-ask-does-it-really-have
They are probably lowering the standards to make room for the fat lesbian sailors.
I know a guy(former AF) that claims PTSD from seeing choppers pushed off the deck of the USS Hancock.
Aaaaaaaaaggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh! GDit...F’n morons!!!
At least they are consistent, they stopped caring what Sailor’s stuffed in their mouths (and butts) going back to 2011, if you know what I mean.
They have to lower the standards to put women in special forces. This is just the first step. We’ll lose all future conflicts, but hey, the feminazis will be happy...
My SIL’s nephew is on the USS Stennis.
Great kid, enjoy talking to him when he’s back in town.
He snarks that at least the lesbo sailors don’t get pregnant all the time like the hetero ones.
Who’s in immediate command of these women? When they start to pork up,drop the hammer on them.PT,PT,and yet more PT until they’re back in shape.Did you see the picture of those water buffalos jogging? That’s what I call letting things get way out of hand.
As long as the military has now degraded itself by accepting homo perverts in their ranks, the whole concept of standards is out the window. I no longer hold anything to do with our armed services in the same esteem as I once did.
Overweight, single mother of a 5yr old. I’m guessing she’s out of shape from all her recent deployments...oh, wait.
Extra body fat makes more sense in the Navy than in the other service branches. Flotation.
Ain't that the truth:
If they walked side by side in a Costco there wouldn't be room to pass.
Sad to say, but virtually all troops leaving the military are encouraged to file for PTSD.
In my previous job, one of the guys I supervised was a retired Navy Senior Chief, who spent 24 years on active duty. Early in his career, he operated the small craft used to infiltrate/exfiltrate SEALS. Never saw combat; in fact his only traumatic event was a broken leg in a training exercise.
But when he retired, he claimed a disability from that accident and PTSD. He received a 70% disability rating (and pension) despite the fact that he spent most of his remaining time in service as a yeoman.
Sad fact is that many vets who are truly disabled wait even longer to get their benefits because of the marginal claims and downright fraudulent claims that are clogging the system.
Its an economy move. Fatties float better so the Navy can reduce the number of life preservers onboard.
Its far more realistic, Mabus said of the new body fat standard. We were kicking more people out of the Navy for failing that, than for drugs.
I think this guy’s a deadbeat. He pretty much went from insurance settlement to insurance settlement for 20 years ‘til the VA figured nobody was THAT lazy. So he got a giant lump of back-benefits.
Yes. I council young men to never join the military. At one time it was the last meritocracy, but now it is gone.
I am speechless again.
the navy’s gonna need a bigger boat!
