I am not distorting Trump’s statements at all. The thing that makes it so difficult for everyone to agree on what he is saying is that he talks in inarticulate partial sentences which leave everyone guessing at his exact meaning and even when he does make a clear statement he will deny it the next day. On at least one occasion this campaign he reversed himself twice on a major issue within 24 hours.

People worry about Cruz’s occasional change of position.

But for Donald, I am completely unaware of any position he hasn’t been on both sides of.

This is a flat out lie.

First, he said “Try not to hurt them.”

And when he said he’d defend them in court, he was talking about supporters who attempted to deal with the fanatics and terrorists of the left who were invading his rallies.

What he clearly meant was, defend yourself. Resist those who make trouble and start riots. And if those rioters get hurt while you are holding them back, I’ll defend you.

All these fights begin with the left. Or at least 99% of them.

Are you asking if some stupid person out there could have misunderstood his intention and then go wild attacking people? Sure. There are a lot of dolts out there. But Trump was talking about a specific situation. The soundbite they run on the news is totally without context.

I don’t blame Trump for the actions stupid people.

He said it about a report that protesters were going to start throwing tomatoes. No tomatoes were thrown. I have not heard him say this in regards to any other incident.

He also said he didn’t like what be he had heard about the 78 year old punching someone.

But I’ll tell you this I don’t give a Damn that the protester was an African American. They got punched. It’s illegal. All lives matter.

He said he would look into it. Just like he told the woman who asked him if he would apologize to the American Indians for taking their land. (Afterwards he asked for one more question that wasn’t “stupid.”)

“I’ll look into it is his way of saying, “FOGETABOUTIT.”

-------

I saw that exchange - he told her he was not big on apologizing. And it was a stupid question. American Indians have a problem? Build a time machine and get the people who actually did the crimes to apologize. My own pale face ancestors were in Europe at the time. So was Donald's. Made me support Trump even more if possible.

Trump was talking about One protester at a rally like a month ago. Trump didn’t say punch or hurt protesters or even other protesters. Just that one.

“Get him out, try not to hurt him... If you do I’ll defend you in court don’t worry about it,” Trump on his latest protester.

This is so obvious that the Cruz people or leftists have to ignore it to go for the extremist shot. And then they wonder why it fails to hurt Trump. It's over - these old fashioned dirty tricks from the olden days no longer work.

Yes, this was out there, it wasn’t brand new.
When the guy in North Carolina went off, I wasn’t shocked by it. Half-way anticipated it.

All this mud slinging is ridicules. As a Cruz supporter I don’t see that Trump did anything wrong here.

Why wasn’t Trump or his team correcting that sound bite as it was played all over the news then? They were loving the free press it gave them but now it’s biting them in the ass.

Lies of omission;

“Also known as a continuing misrepresentation, a lie by omission occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes failures to correct pre-existing misconceptions.”

It’s completely clear to me that the Trump supporters’ “trust” in Trump is purely wishful thinking.
They so want there to be someone who means (some of the things) that Trump says that they’ve decided to just pretend that he means what he says.

It’s clear this guy just says what he wants at any given moment to gain an advantage, and will blatantly reverse himself when it’s convenient to do so.
