A Donald Trump fan who was filmed punching and kicking a protester at a rally in Arizona has been charged with assault.
Tony Pettway, 32, who is African American, was caught on camera attacking white demonstrator Bryan Sanders as he was being escorted out of the Republican event in Tuscon on Saturday.

That being said, I have watched many of the Rallies and I never took anything Trump said about a Protester as some sort of permission slip for some physical altercations.
Most of his Comments were made in jest and were things that many in the Audience laughed off. Besides, as I noted earlier, we are talking about two isolated incidents, not a Mob going Postal on a poor innocent Bernie lover.
People bear Personal Responsibility and I find it hard to believe that these “mind numbed Robots” (thanks Rush) hung on every word out of Trump's Mouth looking for a trigger to attack a Provocateur. We can go back and forth all night about this and I have better things to do with my time as I'm sure you do, so we will just have to agree to disagree on this.

Flag shirt guy didn’t look too hurt. He popped right up and bounced with his hands up like he won a boxing match. He had no problem getting the rest of the way up the stairs.
(actually, he was being escorted out and the incident occurred partway up the stairs)
I noticed him and I somehow have two videos of him coming down the stairs before the event began. I thought that was weird. I noticed him even from the opposite side because of his shirt stood out.
They are all just people.
Frankly if these wingnuts keep doing stupid shit like this I'll probably attend my first rally for any candidate and plan on kicking the shit out of anyone who does something similar.
I'm tired of our side taking it on the chin and nothing changes. Time to get up, get out and stand up for what we believe in.

And when Trump talks about riots... he’s repeating what WE’VE said. There are many of us willing to step up if he’s cheated out of this nomination. We’re the ones making the threats. He’s simply acknowledging that the threat is there. He’s not encouraging it or threatening to lead a protest. He’s hearing us.

I would never defend anyone sucker punching a protester who had not attacked them and then kicking them while they are on the ground. If someone at a Cruz rally had done this I would have opposed it every bit as much - Cruz would also have strongly condemned any of his supporters doing this.
