Many European doctors still think homosexuality is a disease

A “large number” of doctors in certain EU member states still view homosexuality as a disease, a report has revealed. Euroefe reports.

“The research also shows that there are still quite a number of healthcare professionals in several EU member states who believe LGBT people suffer from pathological diseases,” said Michael O’Flaherty, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).

A recent FRA report found that Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia are the EU countries where this misconception is most widely held.

This negative view of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people held by groups of professionals like doctors and politicians is a barrier to efforts to end discrimination and stop hate crimes, according to the report. …

Because God made them male and female and for this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and they will be fruitful and multiply (Genesis). Sodomy is the antithesis to this Godly model-as is all sin.

Simply enough, according to God’s Word, not ours.

Yes. The person I mentioned was humble enough to recognize that. The words of my post were essentially his.

You can’t if it hasn’t been developed. That’s the point.

No, actually alcoholism derives from an unusually high tolerance for alcohol,

That doesn't add up - an alcoholic drinks to get drunk, however much or little that takes.

most likely based on an ability to very rapidly digest simple sugars, kind of like a reverse diabetes. When alcoholics are trained to eat complex sugars like root vegetables and green vegetables plus plenty of protein, their craving for the quick sugar fix they get from alcohol declines dramatically.

No It’s not a disease, it’s a mental aberration.

You may be confusing Biblical history with Biblical law.

Well, if anybody -— straight, gay, bi, whatever -— can’t “repress” (I would say “control”) their sexual instincts, they should not be allowed out in public without a keeper.

There may certainly be men who are sexually attracted only to men, and who find this a persisting, lifelong fact about their sexual drive. That doesn't mean that it has to translate into copulatory behavior, that is conduct, i.e. a vice.

I say the same for men who are attracted only to prepubescent children. A drive does not force a behavior.

Personally....I think it's a choice.

It's a pleasure thing....we like what feels good.

Sex feels good....

Doesn't matter....if it's male/female or male/male..or female/female....It feels good.

Doesn't matter.......

Unless you have instruction...family instruction...religious instruction...you might not understand.

The more "people" say it's okay...the more people think it's okay.

Personally..I've seen family members...think they were "gay"..and they weren't. I've seen co-worker's thinking they were "gay"...and they weren't.

Hell....I'm a male lesbian..........

Well, homosexual copulation not the only thing He called an abomination. Here's 166 references to "abomination," "abominable" in the Bible.

Some of them are references to what other folks find disgusting. But most of these are references to what God finds disgusting.

I don't think the major Biblical argument against homosexuality is primarily based on these particular "abomination" verses. I think it';s based on a theological understanding of what sexuality is for: creating a pair-bond between a male and a female, in the context of which they can create a family. And thus create human society.

Sex was designed for creating a society. Man-woman sex is the path of life. Man-man sex is the path of death.

One of the over-all prime directives of the Bible is to Choose Life.

Well, they’ve spent billions to make sure homosexual sex doesn’t directly lead to death anymore. So, why is G-d so against it? Wouldn’t it have been easier for Him to not make the prostate pleasureable (I think it is, but not certain)?

Most sins start out pleasurable, end up bitter. Didn't the original "Forbidden Fruit" look like a win - win - win?

Human beings, responding to their inborn rational nature and created in the image of God, are supposed to make their choices on the basis of reason and trust and of faith-hope-love, not on the basis of "I want what I want when I want it."

We are flawed creatures, my friend, every one of us. Because of that flaw we all feel sometimes that that goes against the grain. Bad looks good and good looks bad. We feel that doing the right thing is swimming against the current: a current in us! We're not only in a predicament, we ARE the predicament.

But God wills to help and save us. He would die to save us. And did.

That's why we all need to seek Him, because He understands us and He is full of goodness. He has brilliant insightful intelligence about you-- and me --- and a really good heart. Just say "Help me, Lord!" and He's there.

As for your (or anybody's) prostate being a pleasure button, gotta be glad He didn't put that on your gall bladder. :o)

Real conjugal sex, good sex, is a lifegiving holy triple bond with God, with the opposite sex, and with the next generation. It's yes, yes, and yes. Perverse sex (whether practiced by people who call themselves gay, straight, or whatever) is no, no, and no.

And --- quite apart from the issue of AIDS --- homosex wouldn't be a "way of life" even if men could give birth from their butts. It's a trashing of a Sacred Design of Unity. That triple bond I mentioned. Even if it doesn't end up in a fatal infection, it's sacrilegious, sad and disappointing.

Orthodox Jews believe G-d separates an individual soul into two parts: male and female. When they find each other, they’ve found their soulmate or bashert (Hebrew). This means homosexuals NEVER find their soulmate.

I didn't know that about Orthodox Jewish belief. Interesting.

I do think a man can have a profound friendship with a man, and a woman with a woman. And I mean profound: lifelong, emotionally rich, significant, mutually supportive and spiritually nourishing. Even if a celibate gay man or gay woman is committed not to use such a friendship for sexual gratification, her or she would be greatly blessed to have such a friend.

And that goes for straight people too. Same-sex friendship can be a blessing from Above. It doesn't have to be about sex.

Growing up and into college, I always had a best friend (bunches of them, because I moved a lot). They were ALWAYS just friends. Nowadays, I’d worry about my kids having a sleepover.
