Beck fell apart slowly. He was trying to do too much too fast and burned through money. He also lost focus and as that came he went off the rails. His add or adhd made him too unpredictable. He was for gay rights then for religious liberty. He was for open borders then hired Sara Carter, in 2013, to report on the border crisis and the border problems and she was 100% against amnesty. Eventually Carter left and moved to another company.
Beck used to do a two hours show daily and was focused on various subjects. He also bankrolled a 60 minutes type show, but he started to lose money and started to cut programming, changed focus and people came and went from staff. Andrew Willkow was fired as TV host. Then Laurie Dhue quit. Real News ended after several hosts quit. He announced he was losing money and he was firing staff. He was overbudget. Yet he bought a expensive house, car and studio. Glenn wanted to create a theme park, but it failed to get off ground.
He lost his way and he began to rant about birtherism, forces out to get him and anyone who he didn’t like in the tea party and in conservative circles. He attacked Gingrich and Trump. He thought he was holier than thou. He started to confuse people on his stances and ideology. One minute he said he was real religious, even sounded preachy, the next he was way too libertarian. He used to for years say he was conservative but he started saying in 2012 he was a libertarian christian. Then he made a show defending Mormonism right after endorsing Romney. Then he did another program attacking the vitriolIc nature of people on the right who wanted to push for armed conflict or something. He slowly little by little was drifting out to sea.
He finally imploded this past year. It’s quiet a story and I just off it a while back. But he is s mess now. Not a good source of information.
