Ahead of Tuesday’s primary election contest in Wisconsin, the state pro-life group Wisconsin Right to Life issued an endorsement for pro-life Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz over GOP rival Donald Trump.
In a statement to LifeNews.com the organization said Cruz is the only candidate int he race who has always been pro-life and has the ability to defeat pro-abortion Hillary Clinton in November.
“Wisconsin Right to Life’s Political Action Committee supports Ted Cruz as the only presidential candidate with a proven record on life who can win,” the group said.
“There has never been an election more important than this election, and the stakes have never been higher when it comes to protecting the unborn,” stated Chelsea Shields, PAC Director of Wisconsin Right to Life. “There is only one candidate for president who has always been pro-life, who has a 100% pro-life voting record with National Right to Life and Wisconsin Right to Life, and who can win the Republican nomination and defeat pro-abortion Hillary Clinton in November. And that candidate is Ted Cruz.”
The pro-life organziation said that, as president, Ted Cruz would work to restore legal protections to unborn babies and their mothers, protect unborn babies from abortion, including painful and barbaric dismemberment abortions, appoint judges who protect life, and keep your tax dollars from paying for abortion.
“For these reasons, Wisconsin Right to Life’s Political Action Committee is urging every pro-life voter in Wisconsin to vote for Ted Cruz in the Presidential Preference Primary on April 5th,” the group concluded.

Cruz has a 100% pro-life voting record as a member of the Senate . On 10 total votes on pro-life issues taken while has has served in the Senate, Cruz voted pro-life every single time.
The votes tallied by the national Right to Life Committee include multiple votes supporting a bill to de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business over the years, votes to repeal or de-fund Obamacare, which uses taxpayer funds to pay for abortions as well as votes to protect the conscience rights of pro-life Americans.
In a recent interview, Cruz expound on his pro-life views and said that pro-abortion Democrats use the issue of contraception to try to attack pro-life Republicans and make them look like extremists.
Cruz gave an interview last week to the Catholic news network EWTN and he asked Cruz about some comments he made supporting contraception. The Texas senator said he was pushing back against a Democratic “political attack that was deliberately deceptive.”
“I am unequivocally pro-life, I believe that every life is a precious gift from God that needs to be protected from the moment of conception until the moment of natural death,” he said.
Abortion is not medicine. Several docs, including Dr. Ben Carson, have stated that the mother’s life isn’t an issue anymore, so that excuse can’t be used anymore.
If the right to life is not upheld, all other rights are meaningless.
I don’t care as much about the adultry as I do about the lies and lack of experience - NOT TO MENTION - he isn’t eligible.
How would amending the constitution to protect the unborn give them to the govt? We don’t have the right to kill our children outside the womb. The only real case I can see for abortion is when the child jeopardizes the womans life.

You do not need to amend the Constitution to protect the unborn. The unborn are not Citizens yet; they do not exist until they are born.
If you make them protected by government, their rights can be used against the parent’s rights. That does not mean much except if the government wants the baby eliminated, say because of Down Syndrome. They can therefore force an abortion so the government does not end up caring for the child through the rest of its life.
You are correct about the only need for abortion is if the mother’s life is in danger.

The Right to Life does not extend to the unborn. It only applies to citizens. And abortion is a medical procedure and can be regulated by the several States. It should only be performed in a hospital to save a woman’s life.
If you want to see how dangerous pregnancy can be, go to an 18th and 19th century cemetery. One of my grandfathers had five wives; the first four all died in childbirth or shortly after due to complications stemming from it. Nowadays, not so much, but it does still occasionally happen.

I already pointed out to you that the mother’s life is no longer an issue. Medically, we’re beyond that. What happened in the last centuries no longer happens today.

While I’m certainly glad that you admit abortion is killing, it is not killing in self defense. To equate abortion with self defense is despicable.

Using abortion is cold blooded murder. The right to life is given to us by our Creator. Life begins at conception.
I am not talking about cold blooded murder. I was talking about using the Constitution and the Powers left to the several States to regulate medical practices.
At this moment several States are doing an excellent job of eliminating the majority of abortions.
Your emotional outburst is typical of why social conservatives can not get what they say they want.
Even the Constitution acknowledges that our rights come from God. No where in the Constitution does it infer that abortion is a right. Abortion is murder. That is not an “emotional outburst”, but a fact.
Your “fact” overlooks the reality that parents are responsible for their unborn children, especially as those are not yet citizens under our U.S. Constitution.
These pro life people should know that this issue will not save our country. This is least on the list of what we are dealing with right now. Unbelievable.
