Report: Lakers ‘isolating’ D’Angelo Russell after leaked Nick Young video [Young cheated on Iggy]

Some Los Angeles Lakers players are upset with rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell for recording a private conversation between himself and forward Nick Young, ESPN’s Baxter Holmes and Marc Stein report.
In the video Russell asks Young, who does not seem aware that he is being filmed, about having relationships with other women. Young is engaged to rapper Iggy Azalea.

Wow! Talk about stabbing a teammate in the back. The Lakers used the 2nd pick of the 2015 draft for Russell.

What exactly does that have to do with his playing ability? Since when is the NBA concerned about a player’s image?

What exactly does that have to do with his playing ability?
If he's being shunned by his teammates (and reportedly he is), it has quite an impact on his playing ability. A player who is not trusted by his current team and will not be trusted by players on other teams has a limited future in the NBA - and this kid was the 2nd overall draft pick of the 2015 draft, not some throwaway. Could be a huge problem for the Lakers hopes of rebuilding.

What exactly does that have to do with his playing ability? hard to play with a broken ankle, blown out knee. Stuff happens, it's a fast paced sport.

They can't get much worse. It's unlikely they can drop below Philadelphia as the worst team. And they can't pass up Phoenix.
They are locked into being significantly worse than 28 NBA teams, and significantly better than one team.
