I think I meant sextant, not sexton (although having the latter on board couldn’t hurt).

Take a baskeball. Set it twirling on your finger. Does its shape change? Now take a hard boiled egg in its shell (so you don't get your fingers dirty).

Spin it. Does its shape change?

Please explain your reasoning.
