Still, just because I was defrauded of my means so someone could receive an illegitimate government benefit that doesn’t mean I have the right to demand others be similarly defrauded in turn for my benefit.
The world’s first selfie.
I like that. Universities should be made to co-sign the loan, and if the student defaults, it comes out of their endowment.
Overnight, universities will drop majors which do not produce graduates who get decent jobs, and will stop accepting students who are unlikely to work out.
“I know people with multiple Masters degrees plus PhD degree who can barely remain employed.
It is their relentless sense of entitlement that makes them annoying and nearly impossible to tolerate for more than 20 minutes. Of course they cannot find lucrative jobs. They are disagreeable and nasty people.”
Well, they are also the people who continue to call themselves “an unemployed (fill in the blank) going on three years now. Guess what? After three years, you are NOT what you think you are. You are just unemployed, someone who needs to re-train, re-educate or just get a freaking job even if it is “beneath you.”
Some people can’t get over the fact that there bullshit, Japanese corporate style middle management useless work went away because it was what it was. Or the need for manual drawings they did at Wrecham and Howe, Architects, may not be quite what it was. And god forbid you should suggest that they throw themselves into the arena and compete on their own...
Apparently she never took a business course in school. Every debt besides a mortgage should be paid down as quickly as possible.
Even the mortgage should be paid off quickly. Screw the deduction.
FR needs a “Like” button.
That is one of my favorites that I use often.
“you know....the more I look at it..
the more I like it”
“The fact is,
no matter how closely I study it....
no matter how I take it apart...
no matter how I break it down,
It remains consistent .....
It remains consistent .....
“I wish you where here to see it........................
Indiscipline

No loans.
Paid everything myself.
Went to school full time AND worked 30-40 hours a week slinging hot dogs and hamburgers or busing tables.
During breaks/vacation I was working 40-60 (sometimes more) hours a week.
Of course, today, working those kind of hours...that would be called greedy.
Wanting to keep what you work for...is greedy.
Not willing to bail someone out...is called greedy.
Spending above your means and not working...is called down on your luck.
So let me get this straight.
She shows everybody this picture to prove something.
Well it works.
It proves to me she's an idiot and no amount of education could change that.
The stupid is strong in this one.
Maybe Payday Loans financed her schooling.
Sounds like the type that has another $40,000 in credit card balance to go with it.
That’s why she is hiding her face.
So when she walks into a prospective employment interview the person won’t say, “Holy Crap! You are the idiot on that Facebook Meme! OMG, I need to call the staff in here to meet you.”
Probably got a credit card and only makes minimum payments and wonders why the balance goes up every month despite not using it...
I can’t see how $26,000 turned into $45,000 if she “faithfully” paid the loans. I suspect she deferred them for a number of years. Interest still accrues even though payments are not being made.
~ If you think state provided education is expensive now, wait until you see the cost when its free. ~
Well played, game, set, match.
School loans cannot be discharged during bankruptcy. It can even be taken out of social security and retirement.
I had an athletic scholarship, otherwise I would have paid as I attended. My husband worked his way through a tech college for his associates, with which he earns more than most people we know with master’s degrees. That includes me with my master’s degree! The school in which I teach frequently accepts early experience students from our local university. These students are usually out of state residents and none of them are working. They want to focus on their education. I always ask them about their loans. They will be paying back $65K plus, depending on how many minors they have. Crazy! I just don’t get it. I also worked in college and I was a student-athlete. It wasn’t hard.
NAILED IT!
fortunately some nice colleges exist these days that still belive in what you personified:
College of the Ozarks.
