My guess is these guys pretend to be for Cruz so they can push a 3rd vote for a Romney candidate.
Or they admit privately to Cruz that's what they are doing, & Cruz gets to boast publicly of his campaign sucess to the donors & feelers who don't want to waste more money trying to beat Trump.

Kasich gets no floating delegates because he can’t swim, and therefore can’t get them out of the water. I can’t speculate on Cruz’s aquatics abilities, but Trump was sent by his father to the YMCA in Queens for lessons as a kid, so if need be he can pull floating delegates from the water.
