I think this Capitals team is different than some from past years, very dominant, top record; I see them in the finals vs. whomever the West sends, Stars, Blackhawks, etc.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Capitals play this year.
Having season tickets for the Hershey Bears (their AHL affiliate) I know a few of the younger Caps.
And then there's 44 and 2 on the “D” - ex-Penguins.

The commentators were going on and on about this hit tonight in the Caps/Flyers game. Looked pretty bad to me and brainless too, what a dope Bellemare was.
“Worst hit: Dmitry Orlov was shoved head-first into the boards by Pierre-Edouard Bellemare with 7 minutes, 43 seconds to play in the game, resulting in a good deal of on-ice cursing, a scrum, a five-minute major and a game misconduct for Bellemare for checking from behind.”

I don’t know if more disciplining will ensue, the commentators were saying that play could have broken someone’s neck. Disappointing to see.

Booing the injured player. Throwing the bracelets handed out to honor Ed Snider onto the ice - and getting a delay of game penalty for their team.
Shameful.

Yeah, I was playing the longshot, but I won't lose sleep over Detroit getting knocked out.
I actually watched Ben Bishop play a few times coming up in the AHL. It was clear then that he was special.
One of the cool things about having season tickets with the Hershey Bears. I see a lot of NHL talent before they make it big.
A good many Capitals came through Hershey.

One of the cool things about having season tickets with the Hershey Bears. I see a lot of NHL talent before they make it big. That is one of the cool things about watching minor league teams. I wish I lived in a city with one.
