Transgender professor files sex discrimination lawsuit against SVSU

SAGINAW, MI — A transgender adjunct professor at Saginaw Valley State University has filed a federal lawsuit against the school that alleges she was fired from her administrative position because of her gender transition.

Davenport, who began presenting as a female in March 2014, still remains an adjunct English professor at the university in Saginaw County, she also served as the assistant to the director of Academic Programs Support until December 2013, when university officials eliminated that position, "allegedly for budgetary reasons," the lawsuit claims.

Davenport, a Hazel Park resident, alleges violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

I've read that a large portion, maybe 20%, of transgender people come to regret their irreversible surgeries. Furthermore, it turns out that telling people with a mental illness that they are normal and healthy and treating them by mutiliating their bodies does not, in fact, help their mental illness at all. Consequently it turns out that between 60-90% of transgender people are or have been in therapy for issues not related to gender identity and their rates of depression and anxiety are way out of proportion. 41% of them attempt suicide at some point. Not well people. But currently accepted medical practice is to treat this with irreversible mutilation of their bodies which, not surprisingly, still leaves them anxious, depressed, and/or suicidal.

I think these people need help and society is failing them with this misguided "accomodation".

I’ve seen the same behavior.
He wears feminine dresses, long hair, makeup, nail polish, then goes around telling women they aren’t very feminine.
I had one of these men tell me he’s more of a woman than me because I didn’t wear much makeup, had short hair, wore jeans. I said I didn’t need to prove I was a woman, it was a fact. He asked what made me more of a woman than him, and I replied simply, “I gave birth twice, while you fathered a son.”
He then proceeded to become more catty than many women I’ve known, actually undermining and interfering with work until I was able to prove such.
And politically correct HR said that this man’s sexual harassment of me wasn’t sexual harassment but a dispute between two women, whereas any other man commenting on my clothing choices, makeup, menstrual cycle and parenting would have been nailed to the wall. It was only when a system outage extended because the SOB had restricted my system privileges and a different system admin came in and observed the problem was that my permissions were restricted to a lower level that they even punished him for work interference.

I agree with some of the TERFs - for a man to somehow become a woman by putting on a dress, and get higher privileges ahead of women by doing so, is insane. And it doesn’t help feminism when you have a minority that apes out its most extreme stereotypes while using such to define what women is.
It is almost as bad as feminine fashion being defined by homosexuals whose definition of beauty is looking like a prepubescent boy.

If he’d “presented” as a French emperor and insisted that everyone refer to him as “His Excellency Napoleon Bonaparte,” the shrinks would be lining deeper than Venezuelan toilet paper customers to help him. Yet, these highly “educated” professionals declare that there really is a difference.

the dirty little secret the left hides is that NINETY percent or more decide to stay their own gender by 18 if left alone.

Encouraging them is the WORST example to set for confused teens.
