The rights of transgender individuals have been in the news in a big way lately and one of the nation's largest retailers is now weighing in.
In a post on its website Tuesday, Target reiterated an existing policy: that transgender employees and customers are welcome to use the bathroom or fitting room that corresponds with their gender identity.
The post also expressed support for federal legislation protecting the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals.
"Inclusivity is a core belief at Target," the post said. "It's something we celebrate. We stand for equality and equity, and strive to make our guests and team members feel accepted, respected and welcomed in our stores and workplaces every day."
The chain said it spoke out now given the ongoing national debate over LGBT rights, particularly when it comes to bathrooms.
A recent North Carolina law mandating people use the bathroom that corresponds to the gender on their birth certificates sparked some major backlash. And ESPN just fired Curt Schilling over an anti-transgender Facebook post.

I looked at their FB page. Al it every post is people telling them they are done with target. The flew supported just call everyone a hater, racist and a bigot and Say they are glad they will only be around line minded people in the store.
Never go there anyway, hell I hardly go to any of these chain places now, including Home Depot
No idea. I’ve read that the entire LGBTQ/whatever segment
is around 1-2% of the population. I know several gay, lesbian and bi people but not a single trams/unsure person. I would guess it is a fraction of a percent.
How about the rights of the non transgender individuals???

‘Inclusivity’ is virtue signalling of the laziest and haziest kind.
It allows individuals or groups to claim the moral high ground by praising the immoral. They refuse to state what standards they have, because they have none. Their only objective is to keep their options open so that they may play the ‘bigot’ card when someone quite rightly objects to depravity, mental illness, or plain old silly look-at-me-ism.
In other words, when you extend your fence to encompass the whole earth, you have no fence at all. You are simply a coward.

I think they should take “gender” out of it completely. I don’t care if you identify as a can of WD-40, if you are a can of WD-40 with a penis you use the “penis” room, and if not you use the “no penis” room. I can’t wait to see the new signs on the doors.

Sanity is a core belief among We the People. Common sense is something we celebrate. Therefore we logically resist being told that men are women and that women are men, and that a hairy goon in a leotard has a "right" to pee beside our 8-year-old daughters.

It has nothing to do with inclusivity, equality or equity. It’s about destroying any ideas we had about men and women being different.
