Leave it to the DMN to totally get it wrong about about which candidate is the “say anything” candidate.

> “Gosh, he thought that men should be able to go into the girls’ bathroom if they want to,” he told a crowd hundreds strong in Frederick, Md., reports Washington bureau chief Todd Gillman. “Have we gone stark raving nuts?”

The answer is: yes, yes we have. We’ve gone stark raving nuts across the board. So fixing this isn’t going to be done on the margins. It’s going to be done by fixing the big things first then worrying about the smaller ones.

When I say big things, I’m talking about 90+ million unemployed/underemployed. And the stark raving nuts type of policies like Ted’s “let’s bring in a half-million H1B visa holders every single year” initiative, which he only backed off of when he realized it was a campaign-ender. Keeping transvestites out of womens’ bathrooms, as common-sense as it may be, is a trivial non-issue for people who don’t have a pot of their own to piss in, which applies to more and more and more Americans every day.

All I’ve heard Cruz talk about for the last several weeks is Trump. Has he even addressed any issues, or does he think that defeating Trump is the be all and end all of issues?

Trump is wrong on men using little girl bathrooms.

And for what it’s worth, the New Testament rejects cross dressing, so it falls under the sexual immortality provision of Acts 15.

I will not support that which I know to be wrong.

And, it’s possible to say that a candidate is wrong in these places but right in these others. Trump’s wrong on this one. So is the media.

Trump said something eminently reasonable about the discriminatory law that has stirred up a nationwide backlash against North Carolina.

“There have been very few complaints the way it is,” he said. “People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate. There has been so little trouble. The problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife and the economic punishment they are taking.”

Trump, working against type, stepped away from the crazy.

My God, what a horrible thing to say! /s

I was really expecting this to be Cruz’ election, but he has hit that “say anything” stage. He should have at least called Bernie’s terrorists what they were.

The article goes on to say this about Cruz:

To win, he’s asking the mainstream Republican Party to rally to his cause. “Join me now on this journey of less talk and more actions, and real solutions,” Cruz said in Pennsylvania, where he’s almost certain to got smashed again next week.

Indeed. I have not heard Cruz talk about issues. He is obsessed with bashing Trump and stealing delegates where the people do not actually vote on them. I saw a CNN "behind the scenes" look at the filming of a Cruz commercial, and all I saw there was a man crafting an image of himself as a strict evangelical Christian, whose mother prays for him for hours every day. It looked to me more like image manipulation by a man who believes none of what he says, but has picked out a few characteristics that he deems are "true conservative" and is hyping them to emotionally driven people who are, frankly, not all that bright.

Once you get beyond the image crafting, who or what is Cruz? If you want less talk and more action, you already have that candidate in Trump, who has been a man of action for decades. Versus Cruz, who has argued a handful of court cases and shut down the government to make political theater when real people's jobs were being impacted?

Well, I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that Cruz making such a statement is the ultimate in irony.

The two guys I counted on to pull us out of the totalitarian morass into which we are rapidly sinking, Trump and Cruz have both shown themselves to be not the men they showed us at the beginning of this mess. The likelihood is that neither will get the nomination because of Oligarchic chicanery or if one does, the election for the same reason. If one were to win the Presidency, I expect no improvement in national fortunes but a continuation of the precipitous slide into the Pit. Neither has believably addressed the basic disease of the society. Neither has remained consistent or principled.

I expect a retaking of both houses of Congress by the Democrats and a Democrat President after November with the attendant appointment of another Communist USSC Justice and the rapid elimination of the Constitution from all influence in the Nation.

Once the collectivization is complete I expect either a rapid societal and national collapse and total loss of position in the world or a frantic rebuilding of the military for a round of classic imperial expansion that will last only until the great resources of the nation are expended. The collectivist and regimented society we will be will not produce sufficient new assets to maintain the military for long and, barring the draining of Europe the Empire will not last out the century.

The Soviet Empire existed and grew based on the tremendous assets seized at the end of WWII from the previously highly productive Eastern European economies and from Germany. When those ran out so did the life blood of the Empire. Reagan hastened the end by forcing the Soviets to waste their remaining resources and probably prevented a final spasm of violent confrontation.

A Reagan only happens once in a century or even a millennium and we had double or triple of our allotment in the 80s with Reagan, Thatcher, and maybe JPII. We will get another only if God thinks there is anything of value left in America.

Cruz does this all the time - his analysis bearing no resemblance to truth. He’s a kamikaze.sad for him no one even cares what he says, unless he’s talking Trump.

Yep - and his supporters hailed his “great speech’ to a few folks as he got trounced in NY - words is words is words and he’s got lots of good sounding words.

Since when did it become a job of the POTUS to make bathroom laws?

People, if you don’t like those laws you have to get out and fight it like the people do who push this stuff on you.

Let me get this right-- North Carolina passed a law saying that men have to use the men's room, and women have to use the women's room. And the liberal ignorati find this to be a "ghastly, discriminatory" law, because the mentally ill person with sexual confusion on rare occasions stumbles into the wrong room, and should be allowed to.

Trump basically said, "If it ain't broke don't fix it." Cruz made it sound like this is the end of the world. I wonder who is really nuts out there.

Ted Cruz’s campaign can be boiled down to one theme. It’s the same theme anywhere that he speaks.

“I HATE TRUMP”. He is a one note samba. I’ starting to wonder if Cruz is not a robot. Sorry, “mechanical person”.

Since this strategy is working so well for Cruz, it’s no wonder he continues to employ it. (sarc)

Get out of the race, Ted. You are just embarrassing yourself.

This crap about bathroom access for perverts is a bullet that Trump dodged. It is not up to leaders to figure out where one can piss. It's up to the masses.

The left knows how to create a false moral value and leverage it politically against traditional norms. Even groups of normal people sit on their hands in churches while the left assaults them. In many churches, the clergy adopts the lefts mantra.

Trump has put a lot of important goals on the table. There is no point in him getting bogged down in a gotcha issue. Where are all the "conservatives " that should be in the streets tarring and feathering ESPN over Curt Shillings firing for his opinion about bathrooms?

If the country goes to completely gender neutral bathroom facilities, I wonder if the liberals are going to be happy with the unintended consequences.

Every guy knows that there are some men that prove they are morons by drawing nasty graffiti, sexually explicit cartoons, and their phone numbers on the walls and stalls of toilets. And once they know that women are going to be subjected to their nasty stuff, I expect the number and filth will rocket.

You see, men are different from women in more ways than just physical characteristics. They think differently about a lot of things, but sexual attitudes are among the most common differences.

I don’t know if that sort of graffiti goes on in Ladies rooms, but if not, a lot of females, especially liberals are going to be grossed out.
