Bernie Sanders Decries The Lack of Poor People At The Polls
Red State ^ | 23 Apr, 2016 | Susan Wright

“Poor people don’t vote,” Sanders says on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday. “I mean, that’s just a fact.”

“That’s a sad reality of American society,” Sanders tells Chuck Todd, the show’s host. “And that’s what we have to transform. We have one, as you know, one of the lowest voter turnouts of any major country on Earth.”

I’m sure the fact that the Democrat contest is between an aged, future felon, with all the personal warmth and charm of a viper, and an addled, old Socialist has nothing to do with the low turnout.

Nope. It’s all those poor people that aren’t buying into the Utopian promise of “free stuff” that’s holding him back. They are, after all, the group he seems to be attempting to appeal to.

Why should they bother? They're taken care of. They're off somewhere sucking on the governmental teat.

"If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape
and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy."

Jon Stewart was sure that NO SNAP funds were abused.

They were traded for everything in delis, sold for half price, hookers, drugs, etc.

I think the problem with Bernie and Jon is they grew up in Norman Rockwell paintings and they are the MOST DANGEROUS liberals of all because they have no @#$#$ing clue about the real world.

We knew when we were young that if we passed the projects, we did it in groups. We stayed together in school in groups.

When I drove the cab, I saw things I wont forget.

They have NO real life experience.

That didn’t discourage them getting to vote when I lived in New Orleans, as the standard rate was $25 per vote (at least for the first one).

How else would a sleaze like Mary Landrieu keep winning?

Poor people don’t have to vote. The Democrat Party votes for them.

Bernie sounds as if he forgot to have a good knock-and-drag plan in place. You can bet hillary knows how to get the poor to vote. Several times.

Bernie thinks the poor are poor because somebody decided to make them poor. Thus, everything the poor don’t do, or have, or know, is the result of “injustice.”

This is the way almost all clergy (at least the loud ones) think. E.g., the Pope.

The truth is that people are, in most cases, and in most countries, poor because they are unintelligent. The things they don’t know, don’t have, and don’t do are the result of lack of intelligence.

This truth does not comport with the career goals of people like Bernie, or Bergoglio.

There was a study that concluded that the chronically poor were that way because they consistently made bad decisions. Voting for Bernie or Hillary would be just one more of those decisions.

Poor people are stupid, lazy or ignorant.

That’s just the way it is.

Why bemoan them not voting unless you want stupid, lazy and ignorant voters?

The left likes to imagine they are g-d over the poor masses. Poor people make them feel like they are elite. They would redistribute wealth so that people who are not stupid also fit their elitist view of themselves feeding the idiots with food lines and rationing.

The Founders strongly believed in strict minimum property requirements to vote—so many acres, so much money, so much livestock, etc. They knew their history and knew that lenient voting requirements would allow the incompetent to pick the pockets of the competent via the ballot box. Ben Franklin said, “Once people figure out that they can pick their neighbor’s pocket by the ballot box, the Republic is doomed.” How precient.

In 2012 and 2008 a lot of poor people voted because they were voting for their ‘own kind’, not because they were poor.

“Poor people don’t vote”

Gee, I recall hearing something like that from another presidential candidate a few years ago. Something about “47 percent.” It doomed that guy.

Guess if you’re a commie, you get a pass on things like this.
