DUDLEY, Mass. (AP) -- On the site of a long-idle dairy farm, leaders of a local mosque hope to build a final resting place for about 500 Muslim families - to the dismay of many residents of this quaint town in central Massachusetts.
In arguments cemetery developers and activists decry as thinly veiled bigotry, neighbors say they fear burial practices could contaminate groundwater because Muslims traditionally do not embalm bodies and bury their dead without coffins.

Well at least if I’m driving and suddenly have to pee and there isn’t a bathroom in sight, I now know where to go.
There must be a zillion Federal, state and local laws governing this sort of thing. If what they're planning is legal, then it shouldn't an issue.... if the government is bending the rules to appease Muslims, then that should be the issue.

But when the Leftists are in charge, the ‘religious freedom’ of Muslims is paramount. No Federal Law will infringe. But not so much for Christians.
There are laws against plural marriage, child marriage, child and spousal abuse and female genital mutilation, also; but somehow they always seem immune to prosecution.

Savages come in and want to do what savages do. This is unsanitary and WILL contaminate. We’re supposed to accept contamination because it’s from specially-privileged government-certified protected minority group members?

Moslems in at least some places don’t even mark graves because grave markers are regarded as idolatry and because the dead body is regarded as garbage, nothing more. The whole argument over cemeteries is the moslems increasing their footprint in America. It is like the Temple Mount in Israel Historically Jerusalem has been claimed as a moslem Holy Place only when it is politically advantageous. When they have owned it it was just another town.
Then why was the US government so concerned that Bin Laden got a proper Muslim burial?
None of those zillion local state and federal laws apply to Moslems. Shariah is a fact in America but just small now. It is growing and will reach exponential rates of growth abetted by the entire political establishment and the entire Left and most of the Christian mainliners including, alas, the American Bishops in the Catholic Church.

It was necessary for the maintaining of the illusion that Obama died in downtown Pakistan rather than at Tora Bora. Our pols are all into that promotion of whatever it is that the Moslems want as much as the mullahs and the imams are. For those who are not desirous of a moslem state it is just that if they can get enough moslems in the country they make a reliable and solid voting bloc. The French experience shows this in spades. Moslems decide many important elections now. It is happening in England, too. They don’t have to be even a large minority to have that effect. 7 or 8% is sufficient.
Just yesterday we were discussing the laws being changed here (NC) regarding ‘Natural’ burials. No embalming or casket.
Now we know why the change.
