Oh come on. This is quite silly.

The entire market got smacked today. INTC already reported their earnings a week or so ago which the market wasn't exactly thrilled about, but the market is not thrilled about much these days except for piling back into oil and gold like lemmings. The market fell (today) because the BOJ said they would NOT supply further stimulus which strengthened the yen, the world's carry currency, thus weakening the USD, strengthening gold and oil. That's today, stay tuned for tomorrow's story. INTC dropped over 2.5% today. Did they reconfigure their corporate restrooms for LGBQTFLERPs?? TGT fell $1.10 from its open on a crappy market day. 1.3%, half of INTC's drop. What's up with that?

Consumer spending came out as basically flat. That has an impact on sentiment towards retailers. I happen to be short TGT because $84 is darn near the tippy top of where TGT has been for several years. It's strictly a chart play for me. Would a boycott have some effect? Sure, 30-40 cents.

This is imagining that something is having an outsize effect when at minimum, other far more significant forces are at work. It's objectively delusional.

In my area, Target is the “un-Wal Mart” for upper middle class moms. Cleaner, quieter, nicer looking, etc.

Just the cheap smell of these stores . . . . my mother back in the 60’s wouldn’t go to the stores and told us not to either with the chemical odors. She was so wise and I miss her so much!

You must consider that the average Target employee has nothing to do with this policy and are probably as outraged about it as we are. This decision was made by pointy headed liberals at the top of the company. The idiot liberals who made this decision are going to cost the shareholders mega-bucks and could lose their jobs over it, as they should.

If they take steps to reverse this and tell the public that they will do all they can to keep people safe in Target’s restrooms then I might consider shopping there again... I might consider it and I might not. It all depends on how contrite they are and how much they clean house at the top and clean up their act. I’m not holding my breath about them coming to their senses anyway.

Do you remember in 2012 when Dick’s canceled the AR15 rifle orders that customers had paid for in advance? And screwed over Troy Industries?

Since then, I haven’t and never will again set foot again in Dick’s.

Some things can never be forgiven or forgotten. Or to put it another way, if Target wants to dance naked in the pig pen, it’s going to get covered in pig crap.

You want to send a message to Target and the other corporate PC buttwipes out there, you make it permanent.

Doesn’t matter how contrite they are, or how much they purge the upper level management. If you want to stop other corporations from doing the same thing, you hit Target as hard as you can and you NEVER let up.

IMO, although it will never happen, it would be a very good thing for this country if a consumer revolt drove Target into bankruptcy.

Target’s policy does not require these Transwomen to have had sex change surgery. Nor does it require them to wear a dress. Nor cosmetic enhacement, or heels or hair style or anything. The only requirement is no requirement other than saying “I feel like a woman”. It could be a man in wife beater, jeans, nikes, and crew cut.
IOW, a man with all of his equipment, all of his testosterone, all of his sperm, and all of his strength.

And all he has to say when he walks into your daughter’s restroom is “I feel likea woman.”

The bathrooms at Target locally have not placed an “anyone can use this head” sign on the Men’s or Women’s toilets. They might be afraid that this is a very conservative town. I would never go through their doors ever again if they choose to make the “queer” move.

Kohle’s is the “upscale” chain around here; more “upscale” than Target.

Kohl's and Target are two different animals. You can't buy groceries, cleaning supplies and dog food at Kohl's.
