The iPhone belongs to the missing boy's father and he also has the passcode necessary to unlock the device. Apple apparently will be looking to see what the GPS coordinates and tracking may have in the iPhone. —Swordmaker@me.com

Apple will analyze the recovered iPhone found on a capsized boat where two 14 year old boys disappeared on a fishing trip last July to see if they can discover what happened to them. The iPhone belongs to one of the boys' father and he has the passcode. Apple will be trying to recover GPS data from the iPhone. — PING!

“But Austin’s iPhone was on board when the boys’ boat was recovered last month about 100 miles off the coast of Bermuda.”

but near the end of your post is a link to a story their boat was found a few days after they were missing?

how can there be 2 boats, found at 2 different locations, months (8?) apart?
