A teenager in India has accidentally shot himself in the head with his father's gun while trying to take a selfie photograph.
Police said 15-year-old Ramandeep Singh is being treated in hospital at Pathankot in Punjab state and is expected to survive.

Love it! Great minds think alike... I was hoping someone would get that one on the first page!
Outlaw selfies!
I just plagiarized from Free in Texas. He tried to post it and had an html glitch, so I filled it in.
Punjab state? Then why is Hillary calling for more gun control?
Yes, the police got a kick out of this since he was a known trouble-maker in high school. . .and the kid, by the way, sent an email from a yahoo account to me and the school administrators where he tried to pass himself off as his dad and trying to make it sound like he was attacked when we all knew what had happened.
Darwin award material, for sure.
Seriously, as cold as it sounds, I would have rather someone that stupid permanently removed themselves from the gene pool. Maybe we'll get lucky and he won't reproduce.
What? Aren’t you a “citizen of the world”?
Thank you much!
Obvious need for reasonable gun controls in India. (S)
Mr. Singh's pistol was licensed so it's a total mystery as to how this happened!
What, are you new here?
I desperately want to believe that when I was his age, I would have had enough COMMON SENSE to unload any gun I was taking a picture with.
This is why you need to teach your kids gun safety from an early age.
Bang.
Poof. (blows smoke out of barrel)
Bang.
Poof.
Poof.
BA.......ooops.
couldn’t cut soft butter.
1. Assume all cameras are loaded and treat accordingly.
2, Don't photograph anything that you don't want to destroy.
3. Don't put your finger on he shutter control until you have located the target and are ready to shoot.
4. Be aware of your target and what's around it.
5. When holding a gun during all of this, remember which is the camera and which isn't.
Well at least it didn’t make a mess.
