Pinging the list.
Add me to the list as well, please ?
Starting over from pretty much Ground Zero at my new farm, these days.
So far we have added raspberries, currant bushes (red & black), asparagus and grapes. We’re keeping all of the ‘perennial’ fruits and veggies in one spot. Beau already has a nice patch of Rhubarb - dark red - which is awesome for cooking. So far, Rhubarb Custard Pie and Rhubarb Sauce over Vanilla Ice Cream. *DROOL* Muffins and breads to come!
I have three raised beds and an in-ground tilled area about 20’ x 20’ to use this season while I plan the bigger gardens and update the landscaping around the house.
In some ways, I’m pretty excited. In others, I’m feeling too old for this, LOL!
I made the mistake of showing Beau an article on these folks in Canada that make $75K off of a 1/4 acre selling herbs and greens to local restaurants. He said, ‘Hell, Yeah! I’ll give you a whole ACRE, Darlin’! You can bring in $300K!’
Oy! :)
Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
I used fresh herbs from my garden when I made my scrambled eggs this morning!
MMMM MMMM MMMM!
Hit the 80s, and one day over 90, this week; back to 60-ish & wet the next few days.
Other than weed control, nothing new; we can still get a killer frost during the next week or two.
Only thing I’ve started is sweet potato slips; everything else will be direct seed, or purchased plants.
Oh, the cherry has blossomed out, and the peach definitely has flowers for the first time ever.
Apple, wild plum, chokecherry, and pear blossoms galore.
Raspberries & elderberries I put in last year are leafing, too; and the strawberries have awakened.
Please remove me from the list.
Thanks.
