In an attempt to calm the anger of the more than 1.2 million consumers who have pledged to boycott the store, the CEO announced the store’s plans to implement family bathrooms in all of its stores for people who may not feel comfortable in the traditional stall-by-stall bathrooms.
“We’re committed over the next few months to make sure every one of our stores has that option, because we want to make sure that our guests be welcomed in our stores,” he explained. “But if there’s a question of safety, I can tell you and others, our focus on safety is unwavering, and we want to make sure we provide a welcoming environment for all our guests, one that’s safe, one that’s comfortable.”
However, Cornell did not mention any plans to return to single-sex changing rooms, which is one of the major reasons families have strayed away from the company.
No one wants to send their 13-year-old daughter in to try on clothes in a changing room where a man who claims he is a woman is waiting to take advantage of the situation.
But Target can’t easily add family changing rooms, as it would take up valuable space in their stores, and it can’t go back to single-sex changing rooms without angering the progressives who pushed for this new policy in the first place.
Cornell said the company has faced “tough feedback” — which may be the understatement of the year so far.

You actually think a rape or even several, will generate a multi-billion settlement like the class action lawsuit used against big tobacco companies...?
First of all this will never get to the level of a class action lawsuit...
A class of people have to targeted by a company that caused them damage...
What class of people are going to sue Target...? Soccer moms?
Secondly, no jury will award a multi billion dollar damages for a rape or molestation.
That being said...Target can get hurt...but not to death...
Stock lost 5 billion in value is 3 weeks and he still has a job? Sounds like the board should send him packing. Maybe he can get a job as a restroom attendant in the third restroom.
Is the CEO of Target gay? I know the CEO of Marriott is and he came out with support for the pervert bathroom bill. Maybe the CEO of Bank America and PayPal are gay too?
I suppose one “fix” would be to have like 6 individual toilet sink rooms and do away with them being for one sex or other though businesses would shave to truly clean them every few hours as their cleaning papers don’t always look filled out in some stores/resturaunts I’ve visited.
Also have dressing rooms that are individual stalls with mirrors inside but big enough incase a parent needs to be with a child. I’ve seen some stores with dressing rooms like this(goodwill, walmart has them but I think in both mens and ladies department) that could serve men or women since the doors are in public view, kind of makes it less chance of inappropriate things happening.
Exactly. Lawyers are behind a whole lot of this “social” garbage, I’m certain many were pushing for “gay marriage” only for the dollars they could scrounge from “gay divorce” — a whole new revenue stream!

Target (TGT) today is almost exactly half-way between its 52 week high and low. Up almost 2% today. They aren’t hurting on share price. They ARE hurting on public perception by a significant percentage of the public.
That’s when I stopped shopping there for the most part.
Target has been on my ban list for the past two decades. It was the second, right after Post Cereal.
Target is now a target. So where are all those liberal progressives defending Target?

Wow, I looked it up, more than 50%. No wonder they are closing stores.
I guess illegals and terrorists don’t shop at Macy’s much and Trump supporters used to.
I waited for the young store manager at my local Target and explained that I would not be going to any Target stores any more until such time as they reverse this insane policy. I told her that I knew it wasn’t her fault.
