This is one where you do not accept the premise by discussing it. A simple “BS” spoken to the perps of a law like this works better.

You’ll love this, then. Here in CT, they passed a law prohibiting us from burying our deceased pet on our own property.

I was unaware of this law. It was time to put our beloved cat down, and we brought a box and blanket with us to the vet, to bring him home in.

After the deed was done, my son pulled out the box and the vet explained the situation of the law. We were flabbergasted.

He was so understanding; he said something to the effect that he was going to leave the cat on the table, and he had some important phone calls to make in his office; the back door to the room was wide open, and he would say *the cat was there one minute and then it wasn’t*

We took the cat home and had fitting burial. Good vet, that man.

The only people benefiting from this, as far as I can tell, are the carcass disposal service companies [which you pay for].
