Did Hillary Clinton Just Doom the 'Ghostbusters' Remake by Booking the Cast with Ellen DeGeneres?
PJ Media ^ | May 17, 2016 | Tyler O'Neil

I had high hopes for Ghostbusters (2016). The original was pure gold, and the song is still in our heads every time someone asks "Who you gonna call?" (You're welcome.) But the remake is now likely doomed. When news broke on Tuesday that Hillary Clinton will be appearing with the new all-female team of spook sleuths on Ellen DeGeneres, every fear about feminism taking over this film was confirmed.

Was Ellen going the “make it” with Sigourney Weaver in the re-make. I believe I would choose to skip that. . . .

Flushed along with the new "Roots" for a twofer.

American Standard© commodes can handle it.

I watched the preview for this new Ghostbusters, which is horrible. When you consider how today’s previews pack all the comic and highlight moments into a “spoiler” kind of presentation, this movie is surely awful.

I wouldn’t dream of going to see it now, although I had been potentially curious......

Only now, through the lens of time, do I realize that MacGyver was leftist propaganda.

It was unvarnished anti gun nonsense, although he did teach me how to make a hand grenade out of a pine cone, a skill I use to this day.

I used to really like MacGyver back in the day, but after trying to watching a couple of episodes the other day, the only word I can use is . . . Cheezy!

Read here how some shows are used by HRC. From her emails obtained by Judicial Watch. The article is good itself, but if you go a bit deeper and open the link in the article, and search the emails for the word “Oprah” you will find the memo to State Dept where they talk about how these shows aimed at women will let them on and guarantee all questions prescreened, some topics off limits, etc. Eye opening.

Meh, by the time they signed up Melissa McCarthy, it was definitely doomed. She is the anti-funny.

I have seen “Ghostbusters”, and this movie is not “Ghostbusters”.

Well said.
Ghostbusters is, in my opinion and on the basis of percentage of total script word count used, the most quotable movie of all time. Half the lines are immortal.

Hollywood, circa 2016 [The Age of Obama]:
Comrades, let’s not try to come up with any new and creative ideas; that’s difficult and dangerous. Instead, let’s recycle something classic and inimitable but with a(n) (anti-)social (in-)justice angle, thereby justifiably tarnishing the memory of the artistically superior but politically inferior original.

"Meh, by the time they signed up Melissa McCarthy, it was definitely doomed. She is the anti-funny."

But she's fat.

Doesn't that qualify as automatically "funny"?

Sorry, my sarcasm tag got deleted.

John Candy was obese, but he had a true talent.

He never made a living by "being fat".

Besides being fat and obnoxious, What does Melissa McCarthy bring to the table?

If this is true, I wouldn’t watch it if it came out on Netflix (for which I already have a subscription).

Yeah, it’s like putting in Miley Cyrus as a judge on “The Voice”. My first thought: they’re trying to kill this show. It’s no secret that Hollywood has completely burned out the singing talent-show genre.

I’d bet anything that NBC has long-term contracts that they have to keep paying out on. But if the show’s ratings dip low enough, they can cancel the show and make it all go away. That’s the only explanation for putting that fruitcake up there, it’s a sure-fire way to make everybody run for the exits.

The trailer is 2:37 long, I made it through about a minute of it. If it wasn’t already dead, this trailer put the last nail in the coffin.

Here’s a good stat for the YouTube trailer: 247,973 thumbs-up, 862,419 thumbs-down. Ouch!! It’s actually fairly rare to see a vid that does worse than 50-50 likes-dislikes, even vids that are really unwatchable. It’s gotta be a record for dislikes (just shy of 80%). I don’t know how this movie will ever even go straight-to-video. Straight to the trashcan will be a gift to the world.
