It is of no consequence.

What matters is that 9 out of 10 LIEBERALS are.

This is not about satisfying Indians

This is just a Jesse Jackson/ Al Sharpton style shakedown where they use Democrat applied governmental threats to disrupt a sports teams or companies business and then come up with “compromise” that allows the entity to keep it's name after hiring Obama/Sharpton/whoever affiliated “consultants” and Diversity trainers for sensitivity training and otherwise enriching the people doing the shakedown

The 1-in-10 who are offended are city Indians.

I suspect a majority of Americans living in this country more than four or five generations have traces of Indian DNA.

The whole point of changing “American Indians” to “Native Americans” was to change the meaning of the word “native.” A native American is anyone who was born here, as was pointed out at the time. No wonder the term has never really caught on: it’s meaningless.

Indians don’t care what you call them, for the most part. They know all the white man’s words are just that. They know who they are and are not interested in the rest of it.

I was sympathetic, but this settles it for me. Can the left stop with this non-issue now so we can concentrate on real problems?

"New poll finds 9 in 10 Native Americans aren’t offended by Redskins name"

Why should this come as a surprise. Professional teams do not name themselves after losers.

Now if we could only find a way to shut down the few Indian activists and the millions of PC white idiots who keep this and other nonsense constantly stirred up, we’d be making progress.

And I’d add that any school using a specific tribal name as a mascot should get that tribes approval as FSU has done with the Seminoles in Florida for years.

We name our teams after strong, courageous, heroic, or fierce things we admire, to foster pride ,teamwork, and a winning attitude.

That’s why we have “The Tigers” and not “The Tapeworms”.

That’s why we have the “Braves” and not “The Bedwetters”.

That’s why we have “The Marlins” and not “The Minnows”.

This whole argument is a manufactured crisis and doesn’t help Native American people at all.
