OK, but my point is a Britain outside the EU could do exactly the same, with less administrative overhead, so why are the artists bothered? They're interested in art grants, it shouldnt matter to them what the source of the grants are.

No, I'm sure their objection is just politically motivated. Now, they're entitled to hold those opinions (much as I disagree with them) but I don't think they have a right to use their fame to emotionally influence the debate.

But you see when I say Big Bucks I mean that precisely. The amounts are staggering. More than the UK alone ever pumped in.

These actors and such are bought and paid for by the EU.
