The ten most financially sound states in the country are all heavily Republican, while all but one of the ten worst states are heavily Democratic. That’s according to a ranking of states in a new report from the Mercatus Center at George Mason University The report — “Ranking the States by Fiscal Condition” — used official government data to measure the states’ ability to pay short-term bills and meet longer-term obligations, such as public pensions or health care costs, using five separate measures.

Well that's a real surprise. I'd be willing to bet that the states with the highest tax burden are also heavily Democrat as well.

And the one fiscally messed up Republican state, Kentucky, has only been Republican for a short time (under six months).

No surprise.

I have a son, a long-hauler, and I can actually HEAR the change in road conditions when he drives over a state line into dem-rat states. the roads are deplorable and the tolls are ridiculous.

I’m thinking the money, gas taxes, tolls, etc, collected for the roads doesn’t make it past s lot of pockets.

...all but one of the ten worst states are heavily Democratic...

And then there’s Socialist countries like Bernie’s nirvana of Venezuela.

And then there’s Socialist countries like Bernie’s nirvana of Venezuela.

Funny how the empty headed Bernie supporters (and Hillary supporters too for that matter) never seem to notice stuff like that. Socialism has been a dismal failure to produce what it promised EVERY TIME IT'S BEEN TRIED. What it does excel at producing is a lavish life style for those who are in charge and for government elites and misery for everyone else. Explains why Mittens and his crew are all for it.

Public works in those states are built by unions and contractors whose main job qualification is political loyalty to Democrats, not necessarily a history of doing the best work for the least money.

Most of the Reds are lower density/population states and vice versa for the blue.

The bottom line (literally, the last sentence in the article):

“The conservative approach of lower taxes and limited government is a winner, while big-spending liberalism invariably leads to financial ruin.”

LOL - wonder if this has anything to do with democrats being corrupt, criminal liars???

Over half of democrats polled said they would vote for Hillary even if she broke the law, laundered money, and was indicted for espionage.

Is that telling or what?

With democrat 'morality' guiding these STATES - just stealing from coffers is kid stuff... then there's pension funds, kickbacks, deals with gang bangers etc.
