yea but is it the Bee’s Knees?
The Last Ship is on my list to watch but that list is starting to grow big...
seen a few episodes, looks good.
I like Rhona Mitra so I’ll probably start watching soon.

Excellent series! (... and, if you don't mind another recommendation: Vikings is fantastic, as well.) ;)

In real life, it doesn’t. Sailors wore dungarees and a ballcap when I was in. Last few months I actually had to don a crackerjack outfit once. I’m sure there were billet descriptions where you were expected to wear camouflage and some just optional or overlooked.

We went from Dish to DTV, and I hated it. Still do. These companies are playing the cell phone game: Contracts switch out and save, and a that crap.
Dish wouldn’t give us a break for being loyal for ten years, so we switched. Not more than a month later they were spending money trying to lure us back.
It’s stupid.
But who ever said bean counters were smart.

Yep. I got a few connections, not to mention Roku and other 'free' resources, so I could cut the cord in an instant. Which is just what we're planning on doing. Besides, I can count on one hand the number of hours I watch cable TV (aside from football), and I am getting raped by the month. What I wouldn't give for an old-fashioned set of rabbit ears. And a gigabit connection.

One of my projects is to take an HP laptop with a dead KB, set it up with a wifi KB and mouse, and do all of our connections through a media center going to our 42" over the fireplace mantle with an HDMI cable. 2,000 channels. And I'll guarantee you I won't find one damn thing on that interest me, even after I've subscribed to half of them. LOL

Just wanted to say it would be great to hear from some EX-NAVY people
as things on the show may be total BS....
- but I like it anyway :o)

The season opener (1 hour), I actually watched two weeks earlier on TNT and it included the nightclub scene. This week was essentially to be the previous opener and 2nd episode of the new season running back to back. Don’t want to give any spoilers but it sets up a very nice potential storyline.

Would have been great but, they didn’t air the 1st episode last night, due to the shooting in Orlando.
Instead, I was treated to the last two episodes of season 2.

I have laboured to think of any good reason for personnel to wear camo on a warship, but come up blank. Anybody have an idea? I know a Navy Captain who worked with some of the higher staff at the Pentagon and I asked him about the camo.
He told me the thinking was the Navy wanted the sailors to be a little less conspicuous while on board the ship in foreign ports. The camo is supposed to make it harder for snipers to pick them off.
