The truth about assault weapons. Ground control to liberals, the AR 15 is not an assault rifle anymore than a .22 rifle.

Plenty of folks think it's a machine gun....once on the trigger delivers all you got.

What I don't understand....no one rushed him. How can that be??

Those people proved what is common knowledge to anyone who has the courage to admit the truth...homos are weak little pacifist cowards. They're crybabies.

Unfortunately that's a characteristic too many so-called conservatives share these days.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

This is one of the most idiotic arguments we make on our side. We know they don’t use the term assault rifle accurately, we point it out and think we scored a point.
They just shrug and say ok, whatever you call them. They are referring to high capacity semi-autos that are near clones of military rifles.

But priggery over the proper term wins nothing for us. We do the same thing with bullets vs. Cartridges and magazines vs. Clips.

Do you really think that if you convince everybody that assault rifles are already extremely restricted, that everyone will say “oh cool it’s over”? They will simply reply that whatever was used in there club and whatever looks military is the issue.

That is what we need to fight... proper hobby terminology won’t help us win the legal debate.

I will never understand why in the three hours the cops were talking to him and while he was reloading why someone didn’t rush him. You can’t shoot when you’re reloading. Most of the victims had multiple wounds. There’s no telling how many times he reloaded. Makes no sense.

It doesn’t matter. Not one bit. A .22 is a gun and is inherently evil. The cast of Hamilton refused to carry stage prop Revolutionary War muskets on stage during the Tony Awards.
Remember, liberals always say that the Founders only had muskets in mind in the Second Amendment.
But in reality, if it fires a bullet, it is on their hit list. It’s about disarmament of law abiding Americans.

Because they froze, they were scared. You need to be trained to react like that. Think about what someone does when you come up behind them and scare them...the freeze. Do the same to an animal and what do they do? They run. It’s instinct. And, the only thing that overcomes instant is training. Decades in the military taught me this.

We want them because they are good guns.

What makes them good is also what makes them effective for criminals and terrorists.

You are not going to keep them away from criminals and terrorists. All the laws do is keep citizens from having the best rifles for a particular use.

I never wanted a fully automatic rifle even if I could just go out and buy one anywhere legally. Just because I don’t want one is meaningless tho. If you want it that is all the reason you should need for getting one.

BTW, I think the British army had their FN FALs in semi auto only. The Argentine ones had full auto option. I doubt that made a difference.

How long does it take to switch magazines? Two, three seconds? Now if you’re talking about reloading magazines, you can reload one magazine while another magazine is in the weapon.

Who was that wus from some newspaper that fired an AR-15 and it hurt his shoulder and it sounded like a cannon going off? Hurt his shoulder. Wow. I’ve spent an hour skeet shooting and nary a twinge, okay a bit sore but not what that guy described.

What I don't understand....no one rushed him. How can that be??

1. Listen to the audio. It sounds like the terrorist had a Bump Fire stock or equivalent. I'm not sure how much ammo he carried, but it must have been a lot. Unless the audio I heard on NPR was altered, he was firing 8-10 rounds per second for the several seconds I listened to. I shot next to a guy with that toy last year, and it sounded like the audio from inside the club. I don't like it because ammo is heavy and expensive, and because he put fewer holes in the paper than I put in the black in the same amount of time, but bump fire is fast and sounds scary to people with no idea what it is.

2. We are raising sissies (anti-gay slur not intended; many of today's straight metrosexual men are sissies too). Few youngsters today are going to say "Let's roll" and charge a terrorist like men did on 9-11. Kids are taught to cower together on the floor and wait to be shot. "If you fight back, more people will get hurt". It's sad.

Absolutely correct.

We would be wiser to cite examples such pest control, feral dogs, and multiple attacker.

These are fast-moving things that require several rounds to neutralize.

I heard the rifle fire from a video taken outside the Pulse night club. Sounded like standard semi-auto rifle fire to me. Nowhere near the rate of fire you claim. Do you have a link to the “audio” you mentioned?

I thought it was the Spray Paint Assault Triple Pak.

Three (3), 16 oz spray cans of brown/gray/darkgreen low gloss paint. Guaranteed to confuse any media person, or facsimile thereof as to the actual identity of any object painted with these products (painting not required, placing nearby meets requirements).

EXCELLANT POST.

And military is training OVER AND OVER AND OVER till it becomes ‘muscle memory”. The reason the military “overtrains” is that in a stressful situation you may be 70% instead of the 99% you do in training...but that’s still enough.

Maybe that is the same style of AR that Jessie Jackson said would blow up trains and rail roads. I need to get me one of those!

That was top drawer.
Actually a pistol grip makes a rifle like the AR with its low bore axis more controllable and safer. Same for the adjustable stock which allows different sized people to fire it safely.
Many countries allow purchase of silencers without all the hocus pocus we require. It makes them quieter and saves hearing. But try to explain this to gun grabbers and their eyes glaze over.

The audio he heard may of been when the police entered the bar and shot it out with the killer. I heard that audio and the are multiple rifles being fired. The police may have had full auto.
