The Left will loudly defend homosexuals when a white Christian baker refuses to make them a wedding cake, but the same homosexuals are on their own if Muslims or other Third World people want to decapitate or defenestrate them.
The same is true of feminists. The PC Left rallies behind Sandra Fluke and Co. when they want taxpayers to pay for their abortion and birth control pills, but the same feminists are out of luck if a Muslim wants to stone them to death for adultery or fornication.
The take-home message is that the PC Left's first priority is "multiculturalism," so that non-whites and non-Christians are at the top of the totem poll whenever there's a conflict between them and other PC victim classes. I wonder if this means that those at the bottom of the hierarchy will start to move off the liberal plantation?

Many others vie for places on the ladder between top and bottom, but nothing ever moves women above black men (for example) and nothing ever, ever, ever, ever, ever moves Muslims below anybody.

Liberals have never been very logical or consistent in their attitude towards protected victim classes, usually it has to do with locking in Democratic votes or campaign contributions from one group or another. The mystery then is why Muslims are so well-loved that their interests have taken precedence over other typically Democratic voting blocks, they're not nearly as a large a voting block as several groups lower on the liberal totem pole (Chicanos, young feminist college girls) nor are US Muslims big donors, unlike Jewish liberals or many wealthy homosexuals. All that comes to mind is Saudi money.
