Just got a new Akers shoulder holster for the Glock 20. Makes it too easy to carry 3 full magazines of 10mm auto and a bug on the belt. The KKM threaded barrel is on the way. The suppressor should be in sometime in September. God Bless America. Long live the Republic.

Unless one has received training, DO NOT go John Wayne. Sure, protect your own life. But do not shoot across the room (25ft+) and think you are going to hit the target with your "get-off-me" gun with its extremely short sight-radius and poor sights.
By this time in the encounter all other innocents have fled and/or are down. It's not that you may hit a bystander. Rather, you should be trying to find cover from which to shoot behind. Otherwise, the fellow with the long-gun and longer sight radius will be able to put rounds on you while you are missing.
A handgun series is highly recommended. In the advanced courses the focus is on "movement". Most shooters want to stand still. A stationary target is an easy target to hit. You must learn to move and shoot, shoot and move or shoot while moving. They wont let you do this at public range. So, your practice there will be reinforcing what not to do.
It is better to buy a blue plastic training "gun" or put a yellow practice barrel in you carry weapon and practice "gun handling while moving" at home. Develop and reinforce the right skills.
Those with permits will be the first on the confiscation lists when a radical gun control administration takes over. Odds are even on that for the coming November.
By all means go to the range, practice safe handling. Never brandish a weapon unless there is an active shooter you are needing to kill. Know and comply with all legal requirements.

In violation of Kentucky law, the feds have been trying to get Kentucky to turn over their list of concealed carry holders. I do not know if they have been successful.
Problem is we had a puke liberal governor for two terms and you couldn’t trust him. I know Matt Bevin will not do it. Although I don’t put it past one of the liberal bureaucrats in state government to leak it to the feds.
Situational awareness also needs to be enlarged. That is, before going out to public gatherings, do a map reconnaissance to see if there are other things in the area of interest, like mosques, synagogues, basically anything that could incite the wrath of murderous fanatics. Even schools and hospitals are sometimes seen as fair game for these monsters. Be sure to note “gun free zones” as well.
