“I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the arm of Orion, sea beams glittering through the Tanhauser Gates. All of these memories will be lost, like tears in the rain.”

The movie Soldier, with Kurt Russell, includes the “Battle of Tanhauser Gate” in Russell’s fictional war career. The “Spinner” flying cop car was also part of the wreckage on the planet Russell was on (as well as the wreckage of the Event Horizon, with Hell presumably still going nuts inside the ship LOL).

"What is in common with the three films:"

The protagonist in each one runs away from society, to (presumably) live happily ever after?

"I noted in Kill Bill 2, Daryl Hannah kicked around on the floor a lot like she did in Blade Runner."

You're right on target. I heard it was the director's 'homage' to Hannah's death scene in Blade Runner.

One of my favorite sci-fi films-right behind Serenity.

Yes, Deckard had dreams of the unicorn. That’s an implanted dream.

With the subtle reveal at the end when James Edwards Olmos had left an origami unicorn for Deckard to see. Deckard sees it, pauses, resigns himself to it by nodding yes, then moves on.

Yeah. And you’ll have to have popcorn and a soft drink.
