It is derived from Latin obreptio (stealing or creeping upon), related to the verb obrepere (to creep or crawl up to, steal up on).
The word is uniquely applicable to the subordination of perjury as a means of achieving undeserved ends so popular in today's political circles.
We are each and all perfectly clear about the application of today’s word and its most abusive practitioner. Try to be a bit creative whilst ravaging your favorite punching bag.

That does not help me expand my language abilities. There is zero chance that I will ever meet a person who would understand that word - except someone who just read it on Free Republic.
Allow me to be the first to offer you my most sincere contrafibularities! I am anaspeptic, frasmotic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericombobulation.
OK then. I apparently have been operating under a hugh misconception. I have not understood that words chosen for WFD must be in common usage. I rather assumed the purpose of this exercise is to expand our common vocabulary.
This truly is a word with extensive and enormous purchase in our current climate. I have chosen this venue (WFTD)to bring words into common parlance that are otherwise dormant and can expand our verbal intercourse.
I suggest you use the word and offer its definition to those in your circle who do not understand.
Assume some leadership. I have.
