I understand the notion as walmart is subject to looting, but folks may need guns to protect themselves from looters.

I posted a couple weeks ago that at age 66 I was about to buy my first firearm. Able to report that I just did so; Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 9. Had a training session and am committed to getting good with it. No CCW yet since I work at a university and will be unable to have it routinely on me until/unless the rules change.
Amen. Unfortunately [for them] I know several that fit that category. They can see what is happening. They know what is coming, but they refuse to acknowledge it. That was the last thing my wife told me before she passed away, “Go buy you a gun, you are going to need it”. By a gun,she meant a pistol. We had/have rifles.
