Aw! I am so sorry for your little kitty, named for the French word for Sky. “Ciel”, what a pretty name.

My best friend Kathy has a cat with insulin dependent diabetes and she has had wonderful luck (well it’s not luck, it’s caring and skill) giving her cat insulin and it has been doing well and living a nice kitty cat life for many years now.

I hope it all works out and Ciel will be fine!

I have had success in getting my sick cats to eat with Gerber baby food (in the jars). It smells revolting to me but they smell it and start eating.

Diced rotisserie chicken from the grocery store works too. Not that I would ever buy just that for a cat, you understand. No way. Unh-unh.

The vet might be able to prescribe an appetite stimulant if need be.

I wish you all the best. Cats are wonderful companions and when they become sick we feel so helpless and awful. I will say a prayer for your kitty tonight.

I’m looking at my 8 year old best buddy now and would do anything for him.

If nothing is being eaten, keep trying diferent flavors or varieties, something that will get you cat to east.

Would a few more IVs help for the kidney issues?

If it gets very expensive, I’m down for throwing in some bucks.
