Two Houston police officers fatally shot an African-American man who pointed a gun at them despite their commands that he lower his weapon, authorities said on Saturday, two days after five Dallas policemen were slain by a black military veteran.
The two Houston officers, both Hispanic, encountered a man standing in the middle of a street with a revolver around 12:40 a.m. while on a routine patrol police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said.
The officers exited their patrol vehicle to speak to the man, who initially had the firearm pointed to the sky. The officers ordered him to lower the weapon, Silva said.
"He instead deliberately and slowly lowers his arm and allows it to come to a stop at his waist," Silva said. "Now the gun is pointed directly at officers."

Earlier Houston gets mentioned for having sent thugs to Dallas, then a domestic incident putting cops in peril but unrelated to headline events, then finally HPD sees real action in the wee hours of the morn.
Of course, if it had been a white guy, the officers would have let themselves be shot.
No silly, they would have shot the gun out of his hand. Without injuring him. Of course the narrative will become he didn’t have a gun at all, it was a poor little puppy he was holding and the officers shot the puppy as well.....

Had a similar incident her locally a decade or so ago. "He waznt gonna shoot nobody, he'd just been doin crack for a week and was comin down."
Or the three teen girls with 7 GTAs in the past year between them. "This aint about how many cars she stole, she paid her time, she didn't steal this one."

The suicide rate of young black men is pretty high compared to other demographics of blacks.
There’s probably hundreds of black men out there who think if they do suicide by Cop they are like Jesus or some sort of Messiah being crucified.
The same way Glenn Beck thought that letting his wife get beat up by occupy thugs, was a crucifixion.
Why would they shoot a dead black man?
