Trump battles globalist Republicans -- like Ted Cruz
WND ^ | Jul 11, 2016 | Phyllis Schlafly

Posted on 07/11/2016 5:45:02 PM PDT by Ray76

Before heading to Cleveland to accept the Republican nomination for president, Donald Trump paid a high-profile visit to Capitol Hill, where he hoped to unify congressional Republicans behind his presidential campaign.

Trump’s next stop was a private meeting with Sen. Ted Cruz, who inappropriately brought his campaign manager, Jeff Roe, to the meeting. Two months after suspending his campaign, why does Cruz still utilize a high-priced campaign manager to join high-level discussions with the presumptive nominee?

The answer is that Cruz never stopped running for president [].

Cruz’s delays in endorsing Trump and his disloyal preparations to run for president in 2020 help only one person: Hillary Clinton, which is what some Republican mega-donors actually prefer, because they are globalists who oppose Trump’s stances against immigration and free trade.

The globalists will never accept Trump or anyone else who puts Americans first, and they are using Cruz to undermine Trump’s campaign.

“All that said once Trump reaches the 1237 delegate number needed then Cruz should announce his support the Trump nomination.”

For what purpose and what good would it do. Stop the vote to insert the anointed one to make a statement?

I have no need for a job...I will go Galt. I have land. I have water. I grow veg, and animal. I can hunt. I can fish. I have clear fields of fire, and I have friends who are with me...

I don’t need a GD president.

The point is, Trump has the nomination. Some FReepers feel the need to kick the fallen, and I’m f’ing tired of it. Like I said, “Keep f’ing around, and many FReepers will stay home. Understand that.”

Hey, I have to deal with Social Justice Warriors all over the internet as they shut down anyone who doesn’t have the “correct” opinion.

It pisses me off when I see the same method and behavior here on Freerepublic.

The mob mentality of shutting down anyone who disagrees with the “correct” opinion is political correctness at its very core.

Disagree? Fine. But shutting out any opinion other than your own is dangerous and a sign of weakness in your arguments.

You are better than this. Freerepublic is better than this. And America deserves better.

Meanwhile, the idea is to get Trump elected and a lot of posters on this thread are making it more difficult every time they get off with gratuitous anti-Cruz insults which are, as usual, factually flawed.

Frankly, Cruz earned those insults, the last months of his campaign, he showed just how far from a conservative he is, yet you keep pretending he's one.

Go ahead, explain:

1. His petulant blaming of Trump for the violence in Chicago, rather than the protesters paid agitators. (Heck, if the campaign was still on, taking that premise, he might be blaming Trump for the dead Dallas police)
2. Running as the squeaky clean Christian candidate, he had a deceitful, lying (Ben Carson in Iowa, yes, Ben saw it then, we all should have seen it) snakish campaign staff who acted worse than most of the GOPe candidates we complain about.
3. He brought in the Bush family, and all the GOPe apparatus and funding, partnering with them to take Trump out. Did he think they were actually going to nominate him? Did he think the base would actually not see what he was doing? Treacherous, AND stupid in the worst of ways.
4. The alliance with Kasich at the end, and the dissolution of it and then the pretense it never existed after he found out how disgusted the primary voters were with it. The boy lies through his teeth and desperately thought he could get away with that kind of thing.
5. The despicable way he has allowed the non unification of the party. He and Romney together, along with Paul Ryan and the rest of the #nevertrumpers, aiding and abetting Hillary for all this time.

There are more, and I am certain you will make some dumbass, condescending comments (because, after all, with that oh so clever avatar, you are clearly smarter than everyone here) about how none of us but you see the truth. So get to it. I look forward to your defending the indefensible with your supposedly grandiose IQ, which quite honestly, isn't.

If DJT puts a globalist on the ticket as VP, he will be JFK’d, 100%. One never knows for sure, but I can’t imagine he would be that naive.

Wow, seriously, you care so little about others that you would simply sit home. No one is saying you can’t go galt, go for it—though even announcing it here shows a certain level of naiveté.

However, some folks don’t have the luxury to do that...old people, infirm people, young children—many people. What about them? You care so little for your fellow man?

YOu know, people before you have sacrificed their lives for this country and their families—present and future—perhaps you don’t have any children or grandchildren, so you can selfishly just sit home. Sad.

Frankly, I don’t really care whether you vote or not. You and your friends can attempt to go away to some “safe” place thinking you are safely away from the trials and tribulations of future democrat administrations...Again, very naive. Thank God generations before you did not have the same mindset as the as the country would have fallen long ago with that attitude.

Once again, I was clearly right.

Rather than deal with the issue, you just made a dumbass and condescending comment.

Next, you'll try to explain why the polls are so close when you swore up and down that Trump could NEVER overcome the 15 point deficit to Hillary last February and March. Because you're so smart.......

“Donald Trump is a traditional politician?”

No, because (from the article):

“In a June 22 speech in New York, Trump intensified his attack on the globalist money interests”

Traditional politicians would not dare.
