Or will Theodore's future political career take a header off the stage?

When that happened it was bad. By 2016, if he was looking at consenting heterosexuals, he’s got it over most of Hollywood.

You might be right.

Tepid reception.

One false move, one unflattering mention of Trump and he’ll be run out on a rail.

Having an interesting set of conversations with several folks in FB land about Ted Cruz. Simple question. Did Cruz sign/agree to the pledge/oath to support his party’s candidate? Remember way back in the early primaries everyone read Donald the riot act ‘cause he didn’t/wouldn’t sign the pledge? Then he did. Now Cruz, Kasich, Lindsey Graham, being the upright outstanding honorable men of their word and true party patriots refuse to back/support Trump. Curious. When did it become okay to expose yourself openly as a liar, dishonorable, NOT a man of your word and still expect to be called a conservative. “OH, it’s okay, because Trump isn’t a conservative.” And Graham is? Kasich is? Was Romney? Not by a long shot. There IS no honor among thieves.

Frankly, I believe the bar is higher for Cruz because he has claimed he is a born-again Christian following God’s will to run. Bible has lots to say about not keeping your word or vow. His behavior has been shocking to me.

He has little choice but to endorse Trump. But it doesn’t matter, either way, it’s too little and way too late for Mr. Cruz.

The NeverTrump pig lady from CO Tweeted for Cruz delegates to swarm the stage screaming support for Ted when he comes out..

They’ll sound like Rubios screamers at the debates.

He painted himself into a corner because of his ambition. Let's see if he can get out of it.

Cruz has already sheet rocked, paneled, and then boarded over himself and his political career. He could easily have been Trump's VP. Thank God he showed his true colors before it got that far.

There is NOTHING the man can do that would make me consider supporting him again. And I hope the people at the convention turn their backs on him while he rambles about himself.

He will go the Paul Ryan route, and plead for “party unity”. But he will not give an endorsement by name. IMHO.

He actually said something along those lines this afternoon...way to unify the party is to get behind principles of liberty, etc. No mention of the name Trump...His supporters booed Trump when Trump’s plane flew over.

That is probably what he will do tonight...say something very tepid—not actually an endorsement—but not a condemnation. I want a verbal I SUPPORT THE NOMINEE LIKE HE PLEDGED TO DO.

“The Career of Ted Cruz ends tonight “

Hope so.

IMO, he’s another fraud.

I like your screen name. When we were adolescents, there was a girl in the neighborhood we nicknamed “Anita Bone”.

I would think not, if the Texas delegates have anything to say...see post 45

Cruz is up for re-election in 2018....that's a political lifetime away ...

Texas delegates have about as much power to turn an election as the FBI does indicting Hillary..

Yes I know you were, and I was just being factious.

But rumor has it, from undisclosed sources, that he will not endorse Trump. So we will wait and see. If he decides not to, he might as well do a real head dive off the stage, because his political career will be dead for sure. Not sure it isn't already to be honest.

One thing I am certain of he is delusional if he honestly believes he has a chance in 2020. He has lost a lot of people in this election process who were solidly behind him at first. However, getting to know him better did not help him in the least. I for one, would probably never support him.

Cruz is going to pretend it he is Ronald Reagan and he is speaking at the 1976 GOP convention!

That guy can’t order lunch without straining to sound like he’s delivering the Gettysburg Address. That shtick go old fast.
