Donald is brilliant. Set Ted up to show once and for all that he deserved his nickname all along.

I like the way Trump just sucked all the air out of the place when Cruz rambled on too long. As soon as Trump made his entrance to take his seat (to see Eric's speech), all the attention went to him and Cruz had no choice but to slither off the stage with his tail between his legs to a chorus of boos while a video of Trump's children started showing on the projector behind him.

Major fail, Cruz.

I thought last night as I watched Cruz’s speech... “The only reason Trump would allow this is, if Cruz wanted to hang himself, Trump would give him the rope to do it...” and Cruz did it. He is utterly diminished, and will become the pariah of the Senate.

Draw back the hammer on your revolver, brace your wrist firmly, and SQUEEZE off the trigger.....

But damn it all, Ted, you should pull that six-shooter out of the holster FIRST, rather than aim at your own foot.

Some 95% of the personal woe in this world is self-induced.

Absolutely correct.

And thank you Sarah Palin for telling it like it is.

I believe as you do. When Trump read the words of the Cruz speech, he decided to let Cruz go foward with his (Cruz) remarks...and, Cruz promptly destroyed his political career in one night!!! His remarks this morning to a very small group of Texas delegates, only serve to sink Cruz further. I think the guy, Ted Cruz, is not mentally balanced.

It really was a brilliant move. Trump saw the speech, knew what it meant and said ‘go ahead, I won’t stop you’. Cruz thought he was ‘winning’ but he proved Trump was right about him all along because, for Trump, Cruz’s endorsement really does not matter in the least.

It was a beautiful thing to watch. I have said before I ‘get’ Trump - he reminds me of several members of my family (greatgrandfather, grandfather, great uncles) both good and bad. I grew up around people like him and I love it when he is so far ahead of the pack the have no clue - like with this.
