Freeborn County, the rural area surrounding Albert Lea, Minn., roughly 90 minutes south of the Twin Cities, is in the midst of a movement called “Choose Civility,” an attempt to get folks to be nicer to each other in these rancorous times.
“Choose respect, consideration, empathy, and tolerance, and be part of a kinder community in Freeborn County!” the civility program website urges.
The county fair seemed to be on board with that attitude, with a mission statement that calls for “a moral, clean fair which will command the support of the entire community.”
Just when Freeborn County was beginning to sound like the epicenter of Minnesota Nice, however, someone invited Ted Nugent to the party.
Nugent, the “Motor City Madman” who is as well known for his foul-mouthed and violent language directed at Democrats as he is for his music, will play at the fair Aug. 5.
Not everybody is happy.

Yes. They’ve had that “choose civility” campaign going on in one of the counties outside DC (Howard County, MD), for years. It’s their way of stifling dissent. Apparently disagreeing with them in any way “isn’t civil.”
Well, I’m not going to hit abuse on you. There will probably be someone who will, though, just before collapsing onto the fainting couch.
His point is (in my opinion), that by calling Obunghole a “subhuman mongrel” that Uncle Ted unfairly insulted all subhuman mongrels.
Civility is a mode of conduct which the left urges on the Right, while ignoring it among its own constituents.
In other words, it’s a Leftist buzzword which means, “Abandon the political playing field to us.”
Alternative folk music = crappy excuse for bluegrass with faggy, socialist lyrics.
My mother’s family is from this area. Great, honest, hard working people. Half of them work at the Mayo clinic. They are Minnesota Nice... Politically defective gene in the family though... 90% leftists. If NPR or PBS says it,, it is gospel.

This is from the Star-Trib. They’re sad because the fair didn’t feature some faggot band of crippled Somalis wailing on rhino horns. Music that actually sounds like music offends them.
