Sorry to hear this, especially at such a relatively young age - he was one of the less abrasive talking heads on ESPN.

From virtually all points of reference, he was regarded as a good and decent man.
He was sincerely interested and dedicated to cures for diabetes and cancer.

He will be missed...I don’t like espn...and it’s been documented that hundreds of thousands of espn subscribers have jumped ship this yr since moving even more liberal but Saunders was a top-class sports journalist for both espn/abc
