My absolute favorite is my Remington 1911 R-1, with a satin black finish, and G-10 black grips. Truly beautiful to behold and to hold because the gnurling on the grips leaves triangular indentations in your shooting hand.
well since guns are illegal in New York City and my wife’s life is less important than the New York City Laws I would never ever keep a gun in the house. Because that’s illegal. And I wouldn’t do anything illegal. But if I did, it would be a quite expensive glock. one of the few guns I’ve ever held and used. along with a scar and an M4 in Las Vegas. But like I said it’s against the law. And the Law is above all else.
A nice one. I have the same. Great finish.
In Massachusetts it is illegal to “buy and sell” on the open market. Any transfer of firearms ownership must go through a licensed dealer, with all the concurrent paperwork. So much for gifting a .38 snubby to my daughter in New Hampshire.
Where does the “shall not be infringed” part kick in again?
If they come to confiscate, we must resist. Having 20 well-armed friends on hand would be great, but just taking out one raider would make a huge statement, though we would pay with our lives. After a while, the raiders wouldn’t want to raid, due to the risk.
Actually no, I don’t.
But, since we know the folks in DC love FR, for those who have guns, my opinion is that you should think twice about talking about them in this environment.
If a politician says you shouldn’t have a firearm, you should have a firearm.
Don’t they just assume that anyone who has an account on FR has a gun?
For the most part in many more stats then not the free market in fire arms is alive and well.
For those of you in the areas that don’t have a free market the choice to live there is yours.
Allow me to post this again, just to get the word out:
Check out the article in Volume 70, Issue 13 of Firearms News (formerly Shotgun News) about pouring AR-15 lower receivers from polymer resin. At least one of these has had more than 5,000 rounds fired through it.
Living here is indeed my choice. At times I hate it.
But at other times, I couldn’t imagine anywhere else I would want to be should things turn sideways. I’m about a 15-minute drive from Lexington Green, where once we stood our ground against overwhelming odds.
The rebels might be gone but the memory lingers. The grass in Lexington is still green.
