According to some estimates, about one percent of the adult male population continues, after puberty, to be attracted to prepubescent children. The figure of the pedophile is perhaps one of society’s most feared, and, in part because of the deep taboo, the inner lives of pedophiles are not very well understood. This is especially true for the subset of pedophiles who feel attraction to children but who commit themselves to not acting on it; the fact is that unless they encounter the criminal justice system, we are unlikely to learn much about their behavior at all. Support groups are often open only to those who have offended, for instance, leaving pedophiles who refuse to act on their impulses without anyone to talk to.
The plight of the “celibate pedophile” recently gained media visibility when two men formed an online community of support for men and women who struggle with their sexual thoughts about kids. Their anonymous forum, which launched in 2012, has around 2,000 members who come together behind the veil of the computer screen to talk about their feelings. The founders have the express aim of “reducing the stigma attached to pedophilia by letting people know that a substantial number of pedophiles do not molest children, and to provide peer support and information about available resources to help virtuous pedophiles remain law-abiding, and lead happy, productive lives.” But how does a celibate pedophile manage his desire on a day-to-day basis? Is talking about such a taboo sexual desire always a good thing? And how does one lead a happy life when the “true” object of their sexual affection is restricted to fantasy? I spent the last month talking to (and visiting) a 62-year-old man who “came out” as a “celibate pedophile” after he discovered images of children online when his marriage disintegrated in his 40s.
It’s already well underway.

I very much applaud any pedophiles who manage to stay celibate, GOOD JOB, and THANK YOU GUYS!
At the same time, we do not need any left wing magazines writing puff pieces that could help pave the way to legalizing sex with little children.
PERHAPS another look at the age of consent, okay, but I do NOT mean little kids! There has to be a line somewhere, we in Christian/Jewish/Western society do NOT want to lose all we cherish and struggle so hard to keep and protect. If these pedophiles stay celibate, FINE! If they feel they can’t do it, let them move to Moslem countries. (And they can take all the Islamic invaders that have already gotten in here, back with them, too.)
There should be a law to put pedophiles out of harm’s way. You don’t have any rights if you are a pedo, a terrorist, or a commie.

The problem with the entire approach is that it normalizes pedophilia through language, precisely as intended. "Celibate" here implies that pedophilia is a normal state and "celibate" pedophilia is simply a modification of a normal state; one that isn't being acted on at the moment.
The difference between a latent murderer and a murderer is, however, somewhat more significant in practice: we hang the latter to dissuade the former from turning into him. So with pedophilia. And semantic games aside, that isn't likely to change.
Sick freaks need to fry.

What images of 4 year olds were you looking at?
Mostly family blogs. You can watch the same child as she ages; people are very liberal when they post images of their children online. You can watch the girl age from 2 to 3 to 6 to 12 … You can see the same girl’s body as it changes.

There is only one cure for pedophilia, high speed lead injection.
First they “talk” about it until everyone is desensitized and then some federal judge makes it legal.

If we put people in prison for what they feel then who’d be left to guard everyone?
1 in 100 is absurd. Go to a Catholic parish that has 10,000 parisioers. There is only 1 or 2 pedophiles in that church... and they hear the confessions of those not pedophiles. So they know what the ratio is.

Yes, I am ok with punishing celibate pedophiles. If they look at child porn for jollies I’m ok with them not living on our planet. Because some of them hurt children. And all of them want to.
Seriously, one’s sexual desire does not always have to be realized. Christy Brinkley would have been dead by poonga in 1975 if so. You can’t always have what your Weiner wants. So what?
