Although it's been out for just a month, Pokemon Go is already bleeding users. A new SurveyMonkey Intelligence report indicates that the game's user base has dropped by over 20% since its peak usage last month. The analytics company estimates that the game peaked at just under 40 million weekly average

In fairness I downloaded the app onto my iPhone.

The game could not be played without signing into a Google account or creating some other account and signing in.

Delete!

I realize I would likely have tried the game for a few minutes then deleted it...

Actually I spent some time with my kids playing Pokémon Go and we all had a very good time. Not only did we spend some quality time outside as a family, we worked as a team (something my competitive 8 and 7 year olds don’t often do).

Quite a few of the Pokestops in our area were located at historic markers or places of interest and that provided an excellent opportunity to take time to teach the kids a little bit about the place they live and people who came before them

Pokémon Go is what you make of it.

I open a huge book....that's where I keep my secret wine stash....they all think I'm thoroughly engrossed by "War and Peace", but I'll get in trouble if I start laughing too much.

Depends on how long the book is. The Truman biography I just read consumed about four bottles. Over a number of days, of course.

Fads come and go. This one was mostly harmless. Still waiting for Facebook to expire.

I enjoy good beer out on the deck when I’m reading, but I reach that point where the beer gets better than the book.

I love your comment. The same goes for my family. We spent 2 days running around Galveston 2 weeks ago and had a ball. Lots of fun and laughter. My 67 year old mother downloaded it last week to play with her grandson. It makes me smile to watch them search for Pokémon together:)
