I decided to go ahead with the old so we could answer this video chat but it would not open.
We telepnoned our relative and explained.
I went to the upgrade and it never opened up.
I un-installed the old and re-installed the new upgrade and it does not open up messenger but opens up an old, 6 years ago uninstalled, ID I haven't used since then ... and I can't seem to get anything from yahoo.
OK ... there will be those that jump on me for using yahoo, but it has been easy, and user friendly ... up until today.
Anyone else ?
liberal yahoo was sold to verizon. Yahoo probably sabotaged their email and message boards before handing it over... I think all of this is getting fixed as we speak. Yahoo messenger will probably be working sometime soon.

Only use Facetime and WeChat. WeChat is the only one we can video chat with China.
We use Skype to chat with my wife’s family in Cebu City and Vancouver, BC.
Yahoo mail is all screwed up, too. I can’t write anything anymore because it keeps skipping becvause of all the ads that constantly pop up.
yahoo messenger has been a mess for a while. Try using Appear.in, I think you will enjoy it far more.
