Windows 10 Anniversary Update Woes... PING!

You can find all the Windows Ping list threads with FR search: just search on keyword "windowspinglist".

And you thought it couldn't get any worse??

Un-freakin'-believable.

Webcams, PowerShell, now BSODs trying to talk to a Kindle. This feels like amateur hour on a brand-new development effort, not update releases from a company with a 30-year-old product.

Well for those interested in some helpful info, and not just here to pimp Linux Mint or tell us about their PC running XP, the guys at NeoWin seemed to have narrowed it down a little.

http://www.neowin.net/news/windows-10-anniversary-update-crashes-when-a-kindle-is-plugged-in#comments

“For whatever it’s worth, we’ve actually recreated this problem with our own Kindles. In our testing using USB 3.0 ports seems to be the issue, with USB 2.0 ports seemingly not being affected. We can also confirm that rebooting the PC with the Kindle still plugged in allows users to then access their Amazon devices.”

My decision to click out of the free upgrade offer 3,147 times is looking better all the time.

And still MS wonders why so many refuse to upgrade to Win10.
