“I have seen humblegunner in a picture online. It wasn’t a blog!”

I’m too afraid to ask ;-)

We had our hotel room bumped for Kissinger when he was in Russia.

JFK and his belly button.

Toni Fritsch, NFL kicker. I still have his turquoise bolo he gave my grandmother after Thanksgiving dinner here one year.

Ben Johnson who told me to never see “The Last Picture Show” because it was horrible and not fit to be seen.

Kay Starr is my cousin. So was Patrick Swayze but only met him in my dreams.

Many of those talk show hosts were questionable. Many of Oprah’s employees came to the gym too. Some interesting stories there.

I met Wavy Gravy at a blues festival in San Francisco.

And Mary Wilson of the Supremes let me light her cigarette at a party.

Fred Smith. Gotta be one of the nicest, most gracious billionaires out there. Our sons were playing in a local basketball tournament, and I work for him. (Several levels down.. :)

> That, FRiend, is one AMAZING list among a whole thread of amazing lists .. the stories you must’ve heard !

The best of the various stories involves my Dad (former Naval Commander) and the 3 astronauts. I was around 9 or 10 at the time. The group rented a boat to go flounder fishing in Hampton Roads and nobody though to check the weather. After an hour or so a nasty squall came up and it took us 3 hours to get back. My mother reamed all 4 of these navy and air force officers new a-holes for being stupid enough to take a kid into a dangerous situation without checking the weather first. In other words, it was because of me that 3 astronauts got their butts chewed by a housewife.

Hillary’s un-indicted co-conspirator had as much superficial charm as Reagan, but the difference is that after Bill left, you wanted to check that you still had your wallet. There was no substance behind his appeal. After talking with Reagan, you wanted to live up to the image he saw in you.

“...it was because of me that 3 astronauts got their butts chewed by a housewife.”

Now that’s worthy of a movie scene. What an image. Funny, too!

If you think that’s funny.
Another time Alan Shepard heard that the fishing was good up on the Chickahominy River, the group all followed him up there and we spent the entire day shooing water mocassins away from the boat with our fishing poles. They never went back there again. And we caught no fish.
