A woman climbed behind the wheel of a white Mercedes-Benz SUV at an Arlington, to take it for a test drive.
But the fun was over in the virtual blink of an eye when she somehow managed to flip the pricey machine over in the parking lot.
The only explanation reported for what might have happened is that the woman somehow mixed up the gas pedal with the brake.
One of the cars she hit was her own SUV.
A friend of mine bought a new pick ‘em truck, and was concentrating on setting radio push buttons on his way home from the dealership. He hit a parked, totaled the pickup.
That takes industrial strength talent!
argh.

I liked the first version. :)
Heh.
I heard about this incident. It’s quite amazing how she managed to do this instead of the correct very simple manouver. I think she had two or three girlfriends with her to share the ‘fun’. Luckily, the only real injuries were to the cars and to her pride. I suppose it could happen to anyone.
Yeah, well, overpriced taxi-cab. Most of the world jut thinks of MB for their trucks and buses.
I liked the second one myself. Had a little more flare and style!
According to a professional car mechanic and former 747 mechanic I know he says Mercedes Benz cars are junk since they start falling apart about 50 to 60 thousand miles. Better just to lease them for two or three years and return them for a new one.
When did a Merc cease to be a Mercury and become a Mercedes-Benz?

My friend’s mother has a 1979 Mercedes. Looks great and runs well.
First time I went to Europe, in 1970, I was a rube. I stopped in the middle of a main street, my jaw dropped when I saw my first MB garbage truck in Paris...
The only other "overseas" (not in the western continent) place I had visited prior to that was American Samoa.
My Dad waited two months for his custom Mercury Cougar to be assembled and sent to the dealer. He only got FOUR blocks from picking it up before a city dump truck illegally changed lanes right into the passenger side of dad’s new car - it was totaled!
And taxi cabs! I couldn’t believe how many there were in Spain and Portugal.
I am totally confused.
Is there a place in the U.S. named "Emirates?"
Or a place in the UAE named "Arlington?"
Can I say it? Woman driver....lol
I was robbed by the headline.....a Merc is a Mercury. “Benz” is the abbreviation for a Mercedes.
This headline made me believe the Mercury line was resurrected.
Go to Europe and report back to us the number of Mercedes cabs on the road. You will be shocked.
Well, no doubt the sales manager there has been pushing their sales team for an increase in their inventory turnover rate...
