There are no penguins in the “Arctic.”

Not quite sure what you meant by that statement. The "Arctic" is a generally accepted term for Antarctica...........

If that's the case, then the Arctic, aka, Antarctica, is indeed the home of penguins.......Antarctica lies at the south pole where there are lots of penguins but no polar bears.

Polar bears, on the other hand, live at the north pole where ironically enough, there are no penguins...........

Just sayin', no offense meant........

The video at the site is 10 seconds long and shows the "Arctic" not the Antarctic, but yet they show a picture of penguins. Truth is not a value Salon exemplifies.

Calling your bluff on that one. Citations to Greenpeace or other such groups not accepted.

Best get out your globe. Artic Circle and Antarctic Circle are distinctly different and at different ends of the planet.

The arctic is the region associated with the ursine constellations. Arktos means bear, you know. And those constellations are invisible from Antarctica. So your bluff has been exposed.

According to the definition arctic is the area around the North Pole. Never heard it used for Antarctica.

Do you mean polar?

"Antarctica is Earth's southernmost continent, containing the geographic South Pole. It is situated in the Antarctic region of the Southern Hemisphere, almost entirely south of the Antarctic Circle, and is surrounded by the Southern Ocean."
